Chelsea agreed terms for Belleti from Barcelona but is he really up to the standerds or is he going to be another Boularouhz?

Tell me what you think or is this a back up for alves who could come soon?

He is coming for an undisclosed fee if any1 could tell me that? and don't you think they could of bought a more established rb? or even richards

I think that Chelsea are buying their time actually before they buy a quality right back. He will do for a season.

Belleti is a typical Brazilian player who likes to get forward and can sometimes forget his defensive repsonsibilities. Unfortunately football today does not breed full backs in the way they did like, Ron Harris, Eddie McCreadie, Paul Reaney, Terry Cooper etc. The modern day game with it's big monetary rewards breeds player that feel they should be recognised for they fancy footwork and flair, rather than their good old fashioned defensive ability.
It is either Belleti, Fereira or Essien for right back. After the second half against Fulham why would you want to put Essien at right back??

I can't as yet comment on Belleti, but I feel this whole signing of players has reached totally crazy levels.Contracts mean absolutely nothing.Any teams below the big buyers (Man Utd
and Chelsea)get a decent player, they move in and drag them away so teams building a good squad never get a chance.Just look now at Anelka and Berbatov, both with very good clubs yet being underminded by big paying clubs.Until this stops no one else is going to have a hope of really mounting a challenge.I just hope that Berbatov stays at Spurs, because if he goes to either of the two mentioned after a short time he will be replaced by the next player who threatens them. Also the number of players on loan is such a joke that you don't know who will be with your team in any season now.You can't build a consistently successful team by getting short term loan players.

I honeslty feel Danny Alves is a great player- Bellti actaully isn't bad too but Mourinho bought too many players he didn't actually need; he only bought players he wanted not actually needed and that is how people begin to doubt his eye for players.belleti can be as efective danny alves when he has his day
