Premiership Chelsea

Well he's finally gone, the price has not been mentioned but I'm sure we made a tidy profit. Hopefully the money will be used to bring in Alves

It's clear Robben wanted out. Good player, but Malouda looks more than capable and a lot stronger.

Robben is very very skilled player, but he has no place at chelsea anymore. Good luck to him. I prefer Malouda, and then there's Pizarro as well. I have high hopes for Pizarro and Malouda impressed me almost immediately.

I love Lamps, but reckon he needs to be cycled with Ballack, who still needs to root himself into Chelsea properly. I would like to see the next three games with malouda on left wing, Cole on the right, Mikel, Ballack and Essien in AMF, CMF, DMF respectively. Drogba on ST, naturally Terry and Carvalho as centre backs. Cole and Wright-Phillips on left and right back respectively. Bring Lamps and Pizzaro on as impact subst. I know that would never happen, but I would try that for a few games if I were manager.

It's a shame to see him go, players like Arjen only come along every so often (Cooke,Walker,Nevin,Zola come to mind)someone who has everyone out of their seat when he runs at people!! He has good vision and not a bad eye for goal either. Still his injury record has softened the blow a bit as we have had to make do without him.

Good luck in Madrid Arjen it's been a pleasure at least I can cheer you on when you play for the Netherlands...(a more attractive and slightly less dissapointing alternative to England guys)

Yeah sounds good... i think chelsea should ditch the winger thing they want ot have going and play 4-3-3 with 3 strikers rather than wingers. Hows Cole on the rigth - sheva on the left and drog up centre

They could still play their compact midfield with ballack, essien, lamps and mikel

Robben a big loss for Mourinho, one of the few wingers in world football capable of getting around the outside of a full back. On the down side , Robben a touch fragile for English Premier League spent more time on the physio's bench than on the pitch playing for Chelsea. Early days yet but Malouda certainly looks the part.

Agree he is a loss for that very reason getting round the full back is what worries defences and pulls them out of position. Im not sure about Malouda yet I think he looks more of a worker though which will make the team more solid but Im wondering where the attacking flair will come from. Maybe Joe Cole if selected or Wright Phillips if he continues to improve??

Its a shame how my fellow fans have treated this great player. Hes still better than Ronaldo. Entertaining, Fast, and doesn't loses the ball like Moloudo does. Our fans are using his "Injury" problems as an issue, didn't Malouda get 2 or 3 times injured already. Hes the best, and he is a Chelsea legend, together with Duff and Gudjohnsen who were our best players, and soon we might lose Joe Cole, sad. I'm only hoping whats best for Robben, I'm just angry that Mourinho and Roman let him go to get Alves. South Americans can't play in the English League, Thats the Bottom line.

That's a 3-4-3 and not a 4-3-3. Four in midfield and three up front has to mean three at the back.

That Malouda looks alright but don't get strong confused with, 'staying on his feet'. He didn't look strong when he jumped in the air for the penalty or when he went down and Pennant got booked at Anfailed. He did stay on his feet against Ferdinand. I expect Malouda and Nani will be the old Robben and Ronaldo for this season. Bags of skill but going to ground too easily just because they think they 'deserve' something, "What did I just run all that way for then?" **Realises Ronaldo got the majority of it out of his system in the first season**

Madrid are welcome to Heinze and Robben imo.

Great player and served us well at the Bridge.

I for one feel that he was starting to break down to often with injury problems and was spending a lot of time on the bench so it's not that much of a big deal for me that he's gone.

I will always view him as one of our 'great' players and be for ever grateful for his contribution to our back to back championship titles.

I wish him luck with his new club...except when they play us!
