IL_LEONE (U1678305) posted Aug 22, 2007 Renault do not have the budget of Mclaren, Ferrari, Toyota, Honda or BMW and they have no chance of the title this year so concentrating on next year is a good move remember 2004 when they were 3rd in constructors and came out of the blocks in 2005 as the front car.

gilesy_v (U4329560) posted Aug 22, 2007 I think it would be extremely unwise replacing Fisi at Renault for next year. Having two virtually new drivers (Heikki and Piquet Jnr) wouldn't be very sensible if, as they are saying, they are developing new designs. There is virtually no-one more experienced than Fisi, who is renown for helping construct a car & is very highly regarded by everyone he's driven for. I know his form seems to be tailing off, but if you look at the points table he's still ahead of HK.

IL_LEONE (U1678305) posted Aug 22, 2007 well he may be ahead of Kovalainen in the standings but that was because HK got robbed of a podium in Nurburgring by the team taking an ambitious gamble that did not work
