Losing Anelka & Diouf

Premiership Bolton Wanderers

According to irelandonline and dailymail:

El-Hadji Diouf has revealed he wants to leave Bolton for a club with Champions League ambitions – but also insists the Trotters are over-valuing him at £10m.

The Senegal international claimed Tottenham, Celtic and French champions Lyon have all made bids, as have two other clubs.

He said: “I have five clubs who want me but I don’t want to go for going. I want to go to somewhere where I will be happy.

“But Bolton want a lot of money for me. They are asking for £10m. I want to play in the Champions League or with a club that wants to be there next season.”
Also, Report have it that:

"Bolton Wanderers striker Nicolas Anelka admits he could leave the Reebok stadium before the summer market shuts - but it won't be to return to France. Even if I feel comfortable at Bolton, the club needs money so it is possible that I leave before the close of the window transfer."

Playing without Anelka and Diouf is unthinkable at the moment but bolton is considering the option as both players could cost £22M.

Personnaly speaking I do not want to Diouff in a Celtic jersey. He will add no value to the team.
He is also very arrogant with be reason to be so. Now Mr Anelka is a different kettle of fish however, I dont believe that Mr Strachans purse strings can strech
that far.

"He is a nasty, spitter which football could well do without - ask Arjan De Zeeuw and two sets of fans to my knowledge"

"And of course Tony Adams is a model citizen then??"

This is irrelevant.

Diouf is a talented player, but a despicable human being, he's proved that on more than occasion.

And i'm saying ...... your making the assumption he's a despicable human being based on him spitting at someone. Off the field he actually does alot for charity and young kids in the community.

Tony Adams was convicted for drink driving which in my opinion is a FAR greater crime.

I accept that Adams made a mistake and has been punished for it but the same applies to Diouf. TIME TO MOVE ON

The funny thing about Diouf is that away from the football pitch he is a nice fella! Always spends a few extra minutes with the fans, always gives to a good cause and popular with his team mates. Put him on the pitch and he becomes some kind of monster!
From BWFC point of view he is invaluable, when he plays well, they play well. Love him or loathe him he's doing the job for BWFC, so from their point of view he is worth far in excess of £10M.
p.s From what I have seen he doesn't spit on the fans that pay his wages, he just spits on the opposing fans. Fair enough I suppose!
