Fulham 1 Middlesbrough 2

comment on the article

Goals from Mido (55) and Cattermole (88) gave Boro their first 3 points of the season. What did you all make of the game?

Am delighted to get our first win, but please lets not get carried away!

I hope there is more of this and that from Lawrie. The man discredited himself for the comments he made about us in the first game of the season.

I have to say I have come to hate Fulham now because of him and hope results like this continue so he is fired.

For all those being critical of Warner, you guys would have lost by 5 goals had it not been for him. All goalies have days like the one he had today. I hpe you realise it takes time for confidence to build knowing you are second choice.

Like I said I hope you guys lose a few more games and give a sack to your manager.

It's a great shame the assitant referee wasn't up to his job. He has robbed Fulham of a deserved point by somehow missing the fact the ball had clearly crossed the line - and on his side of the goal as well. The Premier League are giving Championship referees - i.e. Lee Mason - and assistants a try-out in the Premier League early in the season, but why should fans have to suffer for their incompetence? Both assistants were poor throughout - signalling throw-ins, for the both sides, when the ball hadn't gone out and raising their flags for offside when the player was not active.

The assistant at the Johhny Haynes stand was the same at in the Arsenal v Fulham game at the end of last season - the one who made three offside mistakes in less than 5 minutes and had to be overruled twice by the referee - and the other a lower league assistant who wasn't concentrating when Healy first shot towards goal, and only started after the Fulham players appealed. It simply isn't good enough. I don't like criticising officials, but they had an awful day - and I hope the assistant referee in question is suspended for a short period, like Dermot Gallagher was when failing to send of Ben Thatcher a year ago.

I hope the luck will even itself out over the course of the season, as it usually does, but goalline technology is a must. Boro fans, of course, will have seen a goal wrongly allowed at West Ham a while back - so today is a bit of evening out!

It was a poor, disjointed second half performance from Fulham and they really need to win at Aston Villa next Saturday to get their season back on track. Last season, we earned four points off Bolton and Boro at home - 3 this year - and had four points after three matches, so already it is looking a bit of a struggle. And the defending was once again shambolic!

I dont know why Tottenham even got rid of Mido, he is such a quality player with a proven goal scoring record in the premiership. Since he has been left out of their first team Tottenham have been on a downward spiral.....enough said

Middlesborough can be relieved the putney end goal had a charm around it. And a blind assistant as well!

Boro were run ragged today but congratulations on your win.

Well that's nice of you, I don't think a Fulham fan has said a bad word about your club, and this is how you show your gratitude. LS has created a side worthy of top 10, despite today's unfortunate events, you have a side worthy of relegation candidates, with an inexperienced manager who sees selling his best two players as good business.

Sorry to Boro fans who hold Fulham in high regards. But this guy has wound me up.

Aren't you selling on of your better players??

You have a team which is no better than ours, you only got the victory due to our first team keeper being out and having the ref & linesmen on your side!!

Mido scored probably the luckiest goal he is ever going to score in Premiership football. He has shown nothing yet.
