Typical single mindedness from a Utd fan, who will accept anything other than the fact that a Pool player is better than a Utd player. Why not throw Wes Brown into the mix as well - surely he should be the second choice not Terry?
If Rio is the best defender England have got, we may as well play James Beattie up front because he must surely be Englands best striker? Unless Utd have any English strikers that I am unaware of who can play up front with Rooney? Oh - wait a minute - is Campbell English? If so - put him in the team!!!!

United bias is so dull.

I am free to state my opinion like you are, and I do it without being offensive and without using childish swear words - simply reaffirming my opinion of you.
Stats are meaningless in football, especially comparing international stas where Rio has played many more times in a full team and Carra has been used out of position in makeshift teams.
Feel free to continue your infantile abusive behaviour. I know plenty about football, and I also know that people are free to have their own opinions. You cannot prove that Rio is better because there is nothing to compare ads football is not a competition between individuals.

In my opinion, Carra is a better, more reliable and consistent defender than Rio. I am not wrong for having this opinion, regardless of what you might say and think.

you can have your opinion, but you can prove football by stats and ferdinands percentage of tackles passes completed blocks etc.. are far superior to carragher and jamie has played right back left back or defensive midefielder which all requires the same as centre back!

I know I can have my opinion - I don;t need your permission. You can;t prove anything - stats don't take into consideration quality of opposition, circumstances etc. Lee Trundle scored more goals than Micheal Owen last season - does that make him a better striker?

When you get some decorum, intelligence, grammar skills, and spelling qualities you may be worth considering as a serious debator.
