im not sure if liverpool will be able to..they've made some decent signings this season but definately paid too much for torres, a 14 goals a striker season including penalties. for me, they've lacked that extra edge when they lost michael owen. arsenal on the other hand have some exciting prospects but they too will feel the loss of henry. chelsea will be strong this season, but with the strengthening of the united squad this season, they'll definately retain the league. as for tevez, people have failed to mention that he used to play the poacher role for boca! only recently he's adapted his style of play to come back like rooney does, but with such a vast array of attacking talent, there are players that can attack from all ends of the pitch and this will not be a problem for sir alex!

we all know about individual talents, i.e tevez, rooney, ronaldo but can they play as a team, i guess time will tell but i can assure you manchester united as good as they are could damage the morale of the team by signing too many world class players, and leaving out stars and proven players like giggs. whufc fan. good luck all the same i hope you get relegated. smiley

"Proven palyers like Giggs". That's my fear! SAF may find it hard to rotate the talented palyers enough for each to get the vital exposure and (for Nani & Anderson) premiership experience. His aim is to have long term replacements for Solskjear and Giggs, but this is often hard to achieve because those who feel sidelined as a result of the strategy may believe they are worthy of first team positions elsewhere and ultimately leave! Consider Rossi and HEINZE.

yeah, ok. just like we damaged the morale of our team by winning games and the league title?

narrowly escaping relegation on the last day and having a great player leave your team is good for morale?

WHU must be jubilant, following the latest loss.

But I'd rather have those three players who came through the youth system and give everything for a club than spend millions on the likes of Josemi, Kromkamp, Geremi, Jarosik, Kezman, Nunez, Cygan - foreign squad players that I have seen Man Utd's direct rivals sign and who have been utter rubbish, in my opinion.
-----------------------------------------------

Hold on a second here. Let's not forget

Silvestre
Fortune
Forlan
Taibi
Bosnich
Prunier
Blomqvist
Poborsky
Jordi Cruyff
Bellion
The Djemba twins (Eric and Eric)
Ricardo
Kleberson
Veron

United are as guilty of buying rubbish foriegn players as anyone!

-------------------------

How Can You Justify Calling Veron, Silvestre, Fortune & Forlan Rubbish Foreign Players?!

Even Poborsky & Blomqvist Wern't That Bad For The Time Period In Which They Were Bought!

You Might As Well Say That Reyes, Crespo & Casiraghi Where Rubbish Then (Which We All Know Is Just Not True!)

Whatever you say about SAF, he is a genius at rotating players and keeping players fresh. He has some excellent fringe players like Ollie, Saha, Silvestre, O'Shea, Fletcher, Anderson plus a couple of kids who won't mind playing 'bit parts' over the coming season if they are to be successful in all fronts.
