I belief chelsea will prove her critics wrong by taking the top spot of premiership from tomorrow till the last day of the league.

I think Arsenal will be stronger this season and could even win it, maybe second is more realistic though. Liverpool will improve but won't make the impact many would hope for. I also think Man Utd will struggle and may finish third or fourth, it's between them and Liverpool. That just leaves Chelski who, because of their defence will probably sneak it and finish first. The other four just don't have their defensive strength. Yes Chelsea are boring to watch, but also extremely hard to beat. More so than the rest. However, there may be a dark horse this season and I think that could be Blackburn. If they stay injury free they could even will it. Double time for Rover time.

LAWRENSON AND HANSEN WERE BOTH DEFENDERS... they just like chelsea because thats all chelsea does. Man Utd clearly has the stronger squad in depth.. way too many fantastic players for each position. Yet keeping the bulk of the squad the same without too much rotation. This season is Man Utd's clearly. Better squad than last season, should be really good.

ALso being defenders they know a very good attacking side when they see one. As they know its hard to defend against. SO the powerful mighty Man Utd couldn't score against 10 man Reading at the OT, "the best squad ever" couldn't break down a good provincial side.

Saturdays games showed that Chelsea can mix their style of play and still win, it also showed that Man Utd as one dimensional and can't break down a side reduced to 10 men for 15 mintes, nor can they change their shape or approach - Saturdays result highlights the naivety of this posting above and also indicates that Mourinho has a bteer understanding of how to change games tactically when the original plan isn't succeeding.

The season is 38 games long and it will be tough for Utd if every team takes lessons from Readings example, they will suffer from the same experiences that Chelsea had last year - and for that reason last seasons experience, Chelsea appear the more rounded and psycologically the team to beat.

Ronney now out how will they cope.

Straeh:

Yes I agree with you: Chelski are a better side than Manchester United. Does that make you happy??? Why don't you simply wait for your "capable and attacking team" to pulverize READING before you start blathering this puerile, infantile, facile tripe on this message board??? Just after 90 minutes of action, you have started dwelling on the plain of vacuity that is known to be Chelski's familiar rendezvous!
How I wish Chelski fans will not be moronic in their thinking injust for one single day.

Nah Chelsea and man Utd are two quality sides - infnatile? LOL...
says the teram whose fans are talking about Trebles and quadruples as if the happen every other year, or fans that talk about "The Best Squad Ever" and they can't beat Reading at home against 10 men for 15 minutes.....

1. All teams in the Premier league are good
2. Only 4-5 teams have quality in depth
3. Man United are 1 dimensional, Europe exposes their inability to change the tempo and style of play
4. Experience counts for a lot and Chelsea have more of that in depth in their squad

This is as open as season as there has been in years - and as hansen said the only way to chose between the sides is to toss a coin.

The crowing from United fgans about how they are goping to run away with it shows a lack of respect to every other side and ignorance to the pecadillo's of the game.

The infantile ramblings, rants and general lack of respect come from the United fans far more frequently than any other side on these boards.
