I'm a traditionalist and would like to see the original post horn gallop that we used to play at the mighty Filbert Street return.

Not this crazy new jazzed up version and defo NOT Henry making his (albeit valiant) attempt!!

I'm also one for not having a song played when we score.

Anyone think i'm talking rubbish or making perfect sense?

Good shout. I can see this working if they play it quite loud before we come out also...

Post horn gallop - sounds brilliant - do it on Saturday while the seasiders are there. As for the song after a goal. We sing 'glad all over' sounds great and really naffs off the away end. Good luck for the rest of the season - after Saturday of course!

i totally agree , the post horn gallop is unique, and the original , guy with the bugle on thwe pitch used to make the hairs on the back of your nechk stand up.
One foot note,.....
Is nt " The Post Horn Gallop" a fox hunting tune, and therefore why are we promoting foxhunting when we are the foxes !!!!!!
Bring on the seasiders !!
Lets give Simon Grayso the standing ovation he deserves. I WILL

I'm with JPFoxes, I like Kasabians 'Club foot' without the intro bit, its modern, & fitting with them being Leicester grown, & fans (well, apart from 1 of them, leedsgrr). on the other hand thou, its not something i've really given much consideration. I'd love to be absolutely sick of 'chelsea dagger' at the end of the season because i've heard it 120 timesbiggrin

I love the Post Horn Gallop, it is Ours to be proud of. I despise the Chelsea Dagger, not just for goal celebration, absolutely can't stand the song as a whole. I like the jazzed-up Post Horn Gallop as much as the original. Maybe we could have the old one to run out to, The new one for the second-half and a new song for the goals. Just NOT Chelsea Daggergrr! Why did we get rid of "Get Ready For This", which we played just before kick-off? I loved that!

I went to a Kasabian gig last year in leicester, and they played the post horn gallop. This was because it was a home coming 'uniquely' leicester gig. Like Kasabian i would proudly use the gallop as the entrance song ! And gloria i agree it did make the hairs stand up, as soon as you heard that noise you knew they were coming on and everyone would standup. There just isn't quite same combined feeling around the ground with the current song.
I would want the gallop bringing back, if not kasabian would be a definate alternative with many songs fitting the bill as well as the fact that they are very much rooted (and proudly) supporters of their home club.

Also in regards to the earlier posts regards to moving the cop / away fans next to each other, re-introducing terrancing. These are great ideas and do need to be pushed into the mainstream. The atmosphere is not what it used to be and i think this is just one factor of have people wanting to come and watch city.

I hope it goes well in pushing the ideas, i will support them all the way. I have one or two of my own but i don't think they could be used just yet
