BBC Sport pundit Mark Lawrenson has stuck his neck out and predicted that the Premier League trophy will be returning to Stamford Bridge at the end of this season.

Okay, so many of you will no doubt say it's not much of a risk to predict Chelsea will win the title, but what do you think?

Will Spurs break into the top four? Will West Ham be able to put the summer turmoils behind them? Who will fare best out of the promoted trio of Derby, Sunderland and Birmingham?

For the record (and no real reasons, just gut feeling), I reckon Man Utd will win the title from Chelsea and Liverpool in third.

Tottenham to edge Arsenal into fourth. And Villa, Blackburn, Newcastle and Pompey fighting for Uefa Cup spots.

Going down - Derby, Sunderland and Wigan with Fulham, Reading and Man City also struggling.

The rest of you, Bolton, Everton, Boro, West Ham and Birmingham in mid-table obscurity.

Read Lawro's predictions here: news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foo... and let us know your thoughts.

The season hasn't kicked off yet and everyone's writing the boro off. We're a decent team and some critism of us is unfair, but we're used to it by now and we'll just have to prove you wrong.

top 6 might be
1 - Chelsea
2 - Man Utd
3- Arsenal
4- Spurs
5-Liverpool
6- Boro

Spurs are a good side and I'd like to see them in the Champions league, Liverpool have bought a lot of good players but could be difficult getting them to play together well, but Torres looks a decent player.

as a lifelong chelsea fan im obviously hoping we'll win. but i cant see us getting a good enough start with the amount of injuries we have at the moment. alex looks a good signing though, having watched him in the CL last season as well as in the copa america for brazil.

The last scorer last season was Harry Kewell, scoring a last minute penalty for Liverpool

As always Mark it talking out of the wrong hole. Chelsea wern't good enough last season, so what makes him think that now Man Utd have got the likes Teves, Hargreaves, Nani AND Anderson on top of the Champions squad they had last season, that Chelsea will all of a sudden become good enough, If they wern't last season, then they are further behind after Fergies signings! Yes I agree Liverpool this season will be one of the top tow ( I am not a Liverpool supporter) I think Liverpool or Man Utd will be the champions this season ( Chelsea will wait another 50 year to be the Champions
I am expecting Newcatle and Man City playing in the Champions league next year
