The sack race - your verdict

Premiership
comment on the article

The Premier League kicks-off this weekend and in true BBC Sport tradition we've decided to take time out to assess which
managers face the chop this season and which managers can rest easy.

Some will agree with my ratings and some will disagree?

Who do you think will be the first to go?

My money's on Sven for an early exit. He's spent a sum equal to the national debt of Zimbabwe on a squad whose wages will cost a fortune. Being volatile and new to English football, Shinawatra won't understand how things work and Sven will be out unless he delivers results in short order. I don't see him doing this with such a new and diverse squad.

How about this for a though Jose and Roman have only just started getting on again (apparently) so how about a mediocre start for chelsea say 4 points behind Man Utd after 10 games and flirting with not qualifying from the group stages in Euorpe. Another backroom bust up and what comes next. Fanciful maybe, but possible

First of all you can't add up, check your figures re West Ham's spending, I make it nearer 2m spent. Lawrie Sanchez should be odds on, get on him.

Dont rule out O'Neill. I dont think he will be, and Id be a little disappointed if he was, but we have a very thin squad, which he has had ample time to add to. Some poor early results and the many disgruntled supporters who feel conned into buying season tickets (im not one of those btw) will begin to vent their anger. Its the Villa way sadly.

More realistically however, I personally reckon Sanchez. Spent a small fortune on assembling the Northern Ireland squad, so the pressure is on. For the money spent they should be looking at the top half, but they just dont have the quality to do that.

But Hutchins, Bruce and Southgate are all good shouts too.

Dont think it'll be Sammy Lee coz that Gartside bloke has patience and will give him till at least the new year id imagine

whoever put the ratings down for the sackrace knows monkfish about football. David Moyes 4/10????? the man has worked wonders for Everton and the only chance of him getting sacked is if we get relegated. He is a 1/10. And including some of the other ratings, way off the mark. I suggest getting Mark Lawrenson to do it next time, now theres someone who actually knows what hes talking about.... or Garth Crooks.

Martin Jol, Alan Curbishley or as I said before Sammy Lee.
