James P. Cain, the US Ambassador to Denmark, visited the Homeless World Cup pitch this morning to cheer on the USA in their match against Canada. A former President of the National Hockey League, the Ambassador was able to offer tips and encouragement to his national side as they warmed up, and cheered them from the sidelines during a match they won by 6 goals to 1.

Commenting on the Homeless World Cup, Ambassador Cain said: "This amazing event demonstrates once again the power of sport to change lives. We saw it in Iraq last week, and this week we have people from 48 countries coming together. 7 out of 8 players in the US team are now off the streets and each one of them told me that this was because of the Homeless World Cup programme - that's an 80% success rate."

The Ambassador will be following his country's progress in the tournament and is hoping to return to the pitch side this weekend.
