Elano heads City triple swoop

Manchester City
comment on the article

Three more players for Man City - when is the spending going to stop?

They may not be household names in England, but which one of the signings will shine next season?

I'm not joking, but Manchester City have a real chance of getting into Top 6 this season.
While all you people are be-moaning Sven and there 'unknown signings', your forgetting City have signed Elano, a Brazilian midfielder who Dunga is building a team around for Brazil. They've signed Petrov, a player who rejected Tottenham, Geovanni, a player who has Champions League experience, amognst others, so if I were a City fan, I'd see exiciting times ahead under Sven.

I'm suprised Sven has brought in so many foreign players with no experience of the premiership. History proves that foreign players usually need a season to adjust. With the money that he has spent he could have bought three or four tried and trusted premiership players. I still feel that come the end of the season though, they will be well safe from relegation.

Well, Sven really has put his Swedish head on the block now!!
He's admitted that he's only seen videos of the players he's bought.
Mind you, Bruce has probably seen Ghaly play, and look at the lucky escape he had!!

Sven needs another keeper.
He should move heaven and earth to try and prise Carson from Liverpool. Carson won't dislodge Reina and he needs first team football regularly.Whether he'll want to go to Man C is another matter though.

Mlamb 64150-"..arguably had the best team in the world at his disposal..." Sure, His Lazio team were good ,but not that good, were they? All a matter of opinion,I guess.

Jussi Jaaskelainen is one of the best keepers in the premiership, wishes to leave Bolton and would not have to be uprooted from friends and family.

He would be an absolute bargain. Est transfer fee is £5m - Name a better keeper for that price?

I think Sven will work wonders at Man City.
The CofMS needs European Footy and Sven can deliever that.
If he brings in an Englsih player than many of you fans may start to feel a bit safer but which player from the England team can Sven bring?
Just be lucky he has spend big and will bring in hopefully another good keeper for you.
I think Man City will be challenging for Europe.

Saj C:-

No disrespect, my friend, but, - as a City fan for more than THIRTY FIVE years, - I have become TIRED of being the proverbial POOR RELATION!

Answer me THIS! If UNITED can BUY a title, (or THREE), - WHY CAN'T the ONLY team IN the CITY of Manchester do it? Or is THAT against the RULES , as written by Wrigley's biggest customer?

THINK ABOUT ITwinkeye
