Adrian Leijer will be a hit, he's a great player, with huge potential, he's done a good apprenticeship at Melbourne. Fulham are wise to look to Australia for young talent.

We'll miss ya Princess!!!!

Coleman didn't exactly fare well purchasing from the Oceanic region... Elrich, Elliott. It is a gamble because the quality of the two leagues are so different. However, I doubt much was spent on Leijer so perhaps the risk is minimal. Again, though, he is not another name that will inspire belief into Fulham supporters' hearts - like all the other signings this summer - and he comes with few guarantees.

Give the lad a chance, he could well be good signing and turn into a good player, especially if he's a consistantly solid CB, something we haven't got at the moment.

Fulham have stuck with Zat Knight for years, surely this young bloke couldn't be any worse

Elrich is fast but needs a lot of room to work in because of his average control so never thought he was agoing to be a big hit in the Premier league but Leijer is a rugged no nonsense lad with good levels of concentration who should fit in ok. If Ryan Nelsen has succeeded then can't see why leijer won't do likewise if given time. However he might want to watch his tackling and temper - I thought he was lucky last year on a few occasions not to get booked or sent off and English players will be quicker and better than Aussie league players so he might need to work on his timing a bit.

Watched him play last year with the Victory, he was certainly a solid defender. I hope he gets in the starting 11 to show Fulham they have made a wise investment.

Two words. Ahmad Elrich. Had a lot of buzz around him but has been dreadful. He will need to make a huge step up but he could turn out. Cant see how he'd be ahead of Knight, Boca, Hughes or Baird though so he'd have to go out on loan if he did sign I think. Spells the end for Zakuani surely.

Coming from Australia myself, i know first hand just how good Leijer is. With some good guidance and the right attitude, he could be a great asset for fulham, and he is still only young. Not much of a gamble really , is it!! also everton nearly signed him only a few mounths ago!!! He should be a good prospect if we get him!!!
