Hello all, 8th december in las vegas a fight for the ages will take place. Personally i cant wait and bring it on there couldnt be a better venue then Las Vegas.

This Rickys chance to silence the doubters and prove he is the Man, something i think he already is.

Do you agree?

Does anyone know which channel this will be televised on? The last one was Setenta, and they normally sign a contract for a number of fights so I'm assuming it be on there again.

Can anyone confirm this?

Not sure its over-confidence. Mayweather just talks himself into the fight before it happens. That way his mind's right before the boxing begins.

No mickeyphil im with induestrial-mut on this one.
A boxer must be confident in himself, yes otherwise these two wouldn't be world champions, but mayweather is arrogant, calling hatton fat is a low blow. He gives fighters no respect, you should see the kind of trash that he come up with to fighters in recent years.
A great fighter, yes, a great sportsmen, most certainly not.
Hatton will out-punch him, Hatton unlike so many others, is not fased by maywetaher's ability and ridiculous banter,

Jazzman - Don't get me wrong I'm backing Hatton to upset Mayweather. And yeah, there's no need to disrespect a class fighter.
But the American comes at everyone the same, talking his opponent down. Its part of his build up and I don't think he'd be the same in the ring without it.

What a fight this could be. Mayweather is upset by Hattons success is Vegas and is starting to steal his limelight. This will mean Mayweather will come out gunning at Hatton as he won't want to be beaten on home turf. Then theres Ricky.. He is confident about this fight and is brave to fight him in Vegas. Secretly Ricky is wound up by Mayweathers ranting and cant wait to knock him out. So I see both fighter come out gunning from the start then its a survivol of the fittest. Lets hope it's Hatton standing at the end. This could be a Rocky Vs Apollo fight!!! Let's hope so.

Hi Preston1972. I am certainly not a rose-tinted American. I am British! And I would like to think that I know a little about boxing. If you read my comments properly, you would have read that I stated that Ricky Hatton has a chance against Floyd Mayweather, because anything can happen in boxing. Who can ever forget the major upset that Lloyd Honeyghan secured, when beating Don Curry in 1986.

I like Hatton, but I believe that he is really up against it when he challenges Mayweather. Mayweather has beaten better men than Hatton. To be brutally honest, apart from ageing former great fighters such as Kostya Tszu and Jose Luis Castillo, who has Ricky Hatton actually beaten?

Louis Collazo BEAT Hatton, but the Hitman was awarded that dubious decision in May 2006.

Levelvibes ... Ricky can only beat who's put in front of him, and so far in his pro career he's beaten everyone put in front of him.

As for aging Kosta and Castillo, I both agree and disagree, Kosta hammered Sharba, considered at the time a top contender and Castillo/Mayweather, no more to be said ... but I do thin Castillo was spent.

Time will tell when it comes to hatton/mayweather, but my personal thoughts are it'll be another Kosta scenario, with hatton all over him like a rash and eventually forcing the stoppage, you never know he may even clink him and that'd be an even better result.

Gott agree the raggamuffin man was great (apparently they fed him on raw meat leading up to his fights!).

I love Hatton but he fighting at a weight he has never looked impressive at. Mayweather will be bigger and stronger on the night and add that to his exceptional speed and skill plus that arrogance and experience.....only won winner for me but Hatton will still be a legend!!!
