I've never known a man drag his club into turmoil as much as him and disrespect all there fans with his pathetic antics. The sooner he goes the better not only for WRLFC but rugby league in general.

since he came back to the club we have not moved forward.. wouldn't mind us breaking the salary cap if we won a few things... also the players e recruits on his holidays in Australia are rubbish.. we spend all the salary on 2/3 players.. he gets us out of trouble signing fielden because the previous 2 seasons he recruited poor players... we have squad of players who couln't give a dam about the badge, we have a captain who hides on the pitch.. we have team who giving pentalty after pentalty away for stupid infringements at the play of the ball... hopefully whoever comes in will get rid of the deadwood from people on the board and the overpaid so called stars.

I echo the majority of wigan supporters views..good riddance . But , if Whelan sells where are Wigan going to play ? Whelan's a businessman , won't be cheap rent at the JJB

As a loyal Leeds fan, I'm thrilled at the news! For many years Wigan have been like a spoiled child, with Lindsay dipping into his pocket to pull off a signing to get them out of whatever trouble they end up in, a good example being Dobson last year. What ever player Maurice wanted, Maurics got. Just like a spoiled kid. He's interfered with the game and broken the salary cap twice in two years. I'm glad to see him go personally.

It’s not sad, it’s a business and he has to go – now. He has overstayed his welcome.

Hopefully the new bloke will bring a trusty calculator and have better accountants.

Let’s face it, Mo should never have come back, yes there were good times but they were never to be repeated once the game turned fully pro and other teams caught up and eventually over took. The last few years have been a debacle, promising coaches sacked, young talent sold, overpaid lazy imports brought in, dodgy dealings, Faz-gate, fleecing of fans, signing of players whilst on holiday (what was that all about??)

I feel sorry for Brian Noble, what a debacle he has walked into. He should clear out the deadwood, get a decent loose forward and captain who performs every game, buy a proper full back, dump Vaealiki Hansen and Hock and play O’Carroll play more often!! Its time to move on, Wigan are living on history and past reputations and its becoming worn and fatigued now.

Also, why on earth would Edwards leave the Wasps comfort zone with a decent salary and settled family to come back up north to put up with squealin Whelan? He’d have to be stark raving mad. At least they've won something.

Yes there is a 99 year lease regarding ground share, but who would trust squealin Whelan? He makes his own rules and cares for himself but there will still be rugby at the JJB as its us who financially keeps it open as the football attendances are so poor they wouldn’t cover the milkman’s bill.

Squealin Whelan knows what side his bread is buttered for sure and won’t be kicking the rugby boys and their loyal supporters out. FACT

The Wigan board are still a joke with or without Mo and the entire club needs to take stock and go forward with a new attitude and plan.

Good bye and Good Riddance. The Glory you brought to Wigan was at the detriment to Rugby League in general. He signed up young lads to stop other clubs having them and then dumped them on the scrapheap. The Salary cap was the best thing to happen as he could not buy his way out of trouble without facing the consequences. That Is why he is going, because he can no longer be the big fish in a small pond

wigan attendences are over inflated with free school tickets they add all season ticket holders to the match att this does not happen at football football fans have paying twice as much to watch than rugby fans do
also the money given to the football is a lot higher than the rugby I am sick of the bickering of who are the highest earners anyone with any sence will realise the football brings in more money.
Iam not a Wigan rugby fan Iam a saints fan but it does make sence for the stadium to be used all year round lets try and live together for the good of our two clubs
ask yourselves where would you be now if whelen would not of bailed you out

Mr Whelan has still not answered the questions posed to him regarding his double standards in relation to cheating and lying. When the Tevez affair threatened his wigan club he was prepared to go to court and supported sheff utd in their cause. Will he now come out and support Castleford in their fight for re-istatement as his team cheated castleford out of survival
