My family and I weren't checked as we came in, and seeing there were no stewards surrounding the pitch, anyone could've brought a knife in and seriously hurt a player. Then again it's a sad state of affairs when the policing assumes everyone would be mature enough to sit and watch the match yet need to act.

7Colquhoun (U7023278) posted Jul 29, 2007 Glad you enjoyed it, AFC. I just found it strange it being a friendly with such a big crowd. Football is so popular because it is competitive and competitiveness gives it an edge. Maybe this was a game for the neutral but I don't really enjoy mismatches unless Celtic or rangers are getting hammered. Or England. posted Jul 29, 2007 Dont have a laptop sherlock, just a normal pc in the house and mobile phone with tinternet access!
