we've signed 10 players, ronboy is that not enough

P Hewat (NSW Waratahs) Tim Curran (ACT Brumbies), Tomas De Vedia (Saracens) Clarke Dermody (Otago Highlanders), Warren Fury (Wasps), Eoghan Hickey (Munster),
Mark Ireland (Newbury), Bryan Rennie (Borders Reivers), Peter Richards (Gloucester), Jeremy Staunton (Wasps).

what the club need to address is the imbalance ins-outs
we've lost (for various reasons) 6 forwards and 4 Backs
we've signed (so far) 1 forward and 9 backs

I agree with you that Wasps are in general a stronger team, and have done fantastically well to develop so many young players into a succesful team. I also agree to some extent that they are also victims of their own success in this respect.

However, a couple of points. Firstly, to claim of your list of the five Wasps players that "most of [them] have played for England" isn't quite accurate. Of that list, only two have actually made full England debuts. My maths may not be what it was, but I'm pretty sure 2 out of 5 doesn't equate to a majority. Also, although Irish got knocked out in the group stages of the HC, I think they had a rather tougher draw, with the Scarlets and Toulouse both in their group as I recall. It'll be interesting to see if you're quite so bellicose at the end of next season, now that the tables have been turned.

Oh, and you might want to check your squad list. Pretty sure Dan Leo and Erinle have both left.

Now that the 'Boks have banned overseas-based players, where does that leave Rautenbach? Is he still on standby?

It's looking good for us...almost guaranteed a full-strength team, except at OC. Still want another prop...

the 'Boks new policy comes into affect after the world cup, so Faan is still on stand-by as far as i know.
I think/hope that Toby Booth and Brian Smith are waiting for all the world cup sqauds are finilised before signing forwards to a)see if Faans going to the world cup and b) make sure any new signings wont be at the world cup

We put in a very good performance in the Middx 7's, we just ran out of steam by the Semi's. Great performances from Delon, Topsy, Dodge, Mackie (score 2-3 tries, not bad for a hooker in a 7's tournament) and Dave Howells.
Attended the open day last week aswell, all the players seemed in good shape and high spirits.
All in all im really looking forward to the 15th September

Really can't see Irish winning the EDF group which includes the Ospreys..

Its a competitive groups, I think Irish have an advantage of having two home game, whereas the ospreys have to play two away games and the Ospreys will still be missing their World Cup Players, whihc i think will be a huge advantage for Irish
