England V India day 3

Test cricket England
comment on the article

If we are going to win this match I think that we have to get an early wicket because if we don't it could be a very hard day in the field.
I don't think that we have the bowlers to win the match though and we are going to have to bat well as well.

Where's into the rough or whatever he's called.

I for one have missed his incisive comment on the latest test match.

Clearly the world of 606 is missing his ominous (there you go rough, a good word for a football fan) presence doh

how anyone can start having a go at certain indians when half the English team are members of the "strut and poser squad" is beyond me. Or are the rose tinted glasses being handed round more often

Interesting, Douggielee, interesting... doh

A very good day from England's perspective. The swing bowling from Anderson and Sidebottom was very impressive, and Pietersen and Vaughan showed resilience to lead England to a fairly healthy score.

I back Boycs !! Its a fine line that gets Kumble given out LBW " just hitting the top of the stumps" good decision ??? and Mr England ( Vaughan ) given not out "just hitting the top of the stumps" too close, got to give the benefit to the batsman ??? Consistent - NOT !!!

England in a good position they only realistically need another 200 runs from 8 wickets and we will have a very defendable total.

Oh and hes english hes hardly going to back the indian team is he?

I wouldnt expect any indians to do such a thing?

OldRegret, You are generally fairly good with your predictions. Not this one. Three of three. In baseball terms, you are out!!

"Laxman, top score for the Indians, Dhoni will get about 25 and Kumble will hang around and annoy the English team for about 15 overs or so."

Oh, as well as being a WUM, you're a stalker with nothing better going on in their life than to waste their time trying to hassle someone on a Saturday evening, someone who isn't even around because they are out having a beer. Congratulations, you look even more desperate than before, and have achieved a new low in being a WUM.

<I for one have missed his incisive comment on the latest test match.>

Yeah, great: this was the usual real-time chat about a match, a place for banter rather than anything especially profound, but if you're going to criticise someone for that, try and make sure you've demonstrated some incisive commentary yourself otherwise you just look stupid and a hypocrite. Instead, all you did was try and take the thread off-topic, and you even failed at that.

<Clearly the world of 606 is missing his ominous (there you go rough, a good word for a football fan) presence doh>

Attempts to appeal to others are a standard WUM tactic, and you failed at that too. I tried ignoring you when you followed me into the other thread, how about you try and ditch the third-rate Wummery and actually try to post something constructive about cricket, demonstrate some of that incisive comment you keep going on about, instead of trying and failing to send a thread off-topic?

Because so far, all we've seen you do is post the most profound observation - bereft of any supporting analysis or insight - that, uh, we shouldn't have let Cooley go.
