Are Arsenal set for takeover?

Premiership Arsenal
comment on the article

It looks like something could be in the pipeline with regards a possible takever of Arsenal Football Club.

American tycoon Stan Kroenke wants to meet the rest of the board after having already had talks with chairman Peter Hill-Wood and managing director Keith Edelman.

The American billionaire already owns 12% of the club and is apparently keen to buy a bigger slice of Arsenal.

In light of David Dein's departure in April over a disagreement about the way forward for the club, the latest development is an interesting one.

Let us know what you think?

You have issues mate, if you consider beating Arsenal and cheating Championship football a great season. Either way you should head back under your rock and don't get involved with mens issues.biggrin

Actually I am very pleased to hear that! I hope this is real. Anyone who really like Arsenal would love to share that news.

I would love to see Dein back with Silent Stan to put the club at the level that the fans want to to see it...

This can be a big boost for the Gunners, which can even overshadow the move of Henry to Barcelona!!!

A takeover would be a bid boost for Arsenal.
It brings in the cash to sign some big names and brings Arsenal back to the top.

Ironjosh, your 'national game' struggles not because of foreign players but because there is no talent.I'm not so keen on a takeover over of ur beloved Gunners.By the way,the Premiership title comes to the Emirates this coming season, mark my words!

Kroenke does not have the funds to support arsenal, only tie them up in debts, the same as united.arsenal are in a good situation, could do with getting dein back but finacial backing is not needed.AW wouldnt even buy big with lots of money anyway,he even said he doesnt need anymore players!which i agree with.arsenal will either win the CL or PL this season and the one after.screw henry..it was his time to go,hes not gonna be anywher near as good at barca, you'll see!

It's bout Arsenal r getting takin ova. A big club r fallin behind on the finacial front. Even Aston Villa r in the money, the premership is all bout business and money now n Arsenal expect 2 b 1 off those clubs at the top.
I hope that if Arsenal do get takin ova or any 1 4 that matter dont do a Leeds and in2 serious debt and the joys of league 1 football.

Why do most people think the only way forward for Arsenal is to spend mega bucks on big names?

Wenger is a very astute businessman as well as a very apt tactician who has never seen the need to paid over the odds prices for any player.

However the last time Arsenal spent millions of pounds on a player, he did nothing but moan and refuse to play for them! Thankfully baby Reyes has gone now!

I am not the worlds best businessman myself so I don't consider myself in the best position to comment on this matter but I do have certain reservations on the possible Kroenke input.
