Arsene's legacy: future managers

Arsenal
comment on the article

I am very hopeful that Arsene Wenger will sign a new contract, especially hearing what he had to say after the Barnet game, and also what Cesc said last week. I can foresee exciting times at Arsenal, especially with the youth and ability that we have, and the confidence.

But it is also a point that Arsene, whilst he has established an exciting philosophy at Arsenal, can not go on forever.

In which case, which former Arsenal player would you like to see return to the Emirates one day as a manger, and how successful do you think they will be in carrying on Arsene’s legacy, long may it live?

This story isn't entirely accurate. The interview is on Arsenal.com
Hill Wood says he had a brief chat with Wenger a while ago and he is hopeful that Wenger will stay on. That's all.
There can't be much in the news at the moment...

In my heart, it is that Wenger will sign. But if he left Arsenal, I think it would be good to look at which coach would be available. Arsenal would benefit from a change of tactics which change would be best delivered by some one not contaminated by Wenger's strategy. We could learn from the change that Brazil has enjoyed since they hired Dunga. I think someone like Capello or Dunga would be good. There is to feel what such tactics can bring.

I don't think prayer is going to help you.

It didn't work for Hoddle...

Aye - This was blown out of proportion from an interview question that Peter Hill-Wood have a two setence answer too.

I think Keeping Arsene is the biggest signing Arsenal Football Club can make right now and would possibly be, once again, the best ever signing we have made, employing Arsene Wenger.

personally, I want arsene wenger to be sacked because he is the reason why arsenal is facing all these issues like us becoming 4th in 2 years.wenger is the reason why arsenal is facing all these crises.he is the reason why henry left arsenal.why money isn't spent on quality players if he wants to go he should please get out.

Besides, I would like to test the ability of Arsenal as an institution without Dein and Arsenal at the helm. It is 1 thing that would say the others can or cannot take her brand forward.

Are you Tottenham, are you Tottenham are you Tottenham in disguise? Are you Tottenham in disguise!?

How can you say that when if it wasn't for Wenger we wouldn't have a new stadium, have gone unbeaten for a whole season, won the trophies we have over the last 10 or so years, played the best football in the league and arguably the world, found the players he has and turned them in to stars - like Henry, Veiera, fabregas etc etc..!!!!!

You must be mental to say you want him sacked!

True, his lack of spending is frustrating, but he is the best manager we have ever had and I have 100% confidence in everthing he does!

While Aesene has been with us the football we play is the best in the world. He can spot tallent like no one elese but the time will come we will have to get a new manager. If he could start Dennis coaching and impart his philosophy on training and skill then after a year let Dennis carry on to stamp his stile and cunning I can see us champions of europe many times over
