How would you vote?

Premiership Everton

comment on the article

Just want to gauge fellow Evertonians viewpoints regarding the vote happening in Aug.

I'm actually undecided as to how I will vote as I would like to see the plans for the stadium and the infastructure surrounding it before making a decision, however as this is unlikely I am leaning towards the "No" side...

I just dont think we have enough information on the actual details to make an informed decision on the move, and so the entire vote rests on whether or not you can accept moving Everton out of the city boundries...

But I am worried that if we dont do something relatively soon we will have to stay at GP for a long time while Liverpool get their shiny new stadium, which by the looks of the plans is gonna be quite impressive.

What is everyone elses thoughts?

'Deal of The Century'

Things that are too good to be true always are!

Mind you. If this development was taking place in the City of Liverpool in conjunction with Tesco no-body would mind. No-body would mind a multi billion plc taking over our club.

To all the Liverpool supporters who have "contributed" to what should have been a sensible discussion. (23 Carra Gold - Pure Scouse? Pure Cornish, more like! laugh) Boys, Mummy is very tired now of reading your drivel on these pages.

I shall have to take you all to the doctor's to cure you of your verbal diarrhoea...

Come on guys, Why are some of you Evertonians rejecting the plans for a new stadium??? It seems like it will be an amazing stadium and won't be too big, so you'll fill it.

Your current stadium isn't in the best state, and if Liverpool are moving, surely you would like to also move?

Spurs desperately need 1 and I can only dream of us getting a new stadium.

Wynass is right Goodison is a financial brick around our necks however this does not make Kirkby right!

Kirkby is like all new towns not very pleasant and any new ground and no doubt also the new townie will soon look as shabby as the rest of the New Town.

God help us if this is the best plan that the club can come up with.

I won't even start with all the logistic issues such as transport.

the scotty road option looks the best bet for me, i am a red, so lets get that out of the way. its just that, with us building a new ground, and the proposed reopening of the bootle branch rail route, surely then both clubs could take advantage of this. no matter how the vote goes, there will be some who are unhappy, its interesting as an outsider looking in, i bet there are a few nervous bluenoses out there.

Why dont some of you dumbo's get it? We cant afford to build a new stadium or renevate GP (which isnt really an option anyway) We dont have the money!!!!

It annoys me there are so many people who go on about not moving unless its in the city. Tesco's are offering us a deal not because Tesco's want to but because Leahy is an Everton fan. Anywhere else is an option for Tesco's therefore there not interested!

How hard is it to understand??? Wake up people!

As a fan of another team with a truly historic stadium (Villa) I hope you have voted against this proposal. Stadiums like ours are becoming few and far between and these new stadiums (boro, sunderland, arsenal. etc, etc) lack atmosphere and any sense of history.

the club and the team create history not the ground.

the ground only helps with the atmosphere.

You will find that a lot of the missing factors in the new stadia are due to design.

We WILL make the new ground into a stadia just like Goodison only newer and without restricted views.
