Coleman Or Sanchez?

Premiership Fulham

comment on the article

Who do you think is the betta manager Coleman or Sanchez?
Obviously Sanchez achieved more in his playing career and has the added experience of international manager but Coleman knew the Fulham players well and had the Team Chemistry going strong!
So I'd like your feedback on who you think the betta manager is!
And where you think Fulham will finish next season

I THINK EAMONN HOLMES WOULD BE THE BETTER MANAGER AS HE WAS VERY GOOD WITH ASSISTANTS HE HAD ON GMTV.FOR EXAMPLE ANDREW CASTLE.

coleman exceeded all expectations in his first reign as a top flight manager. every year we were tippied for the drop but cookie produced the goods. hopefully sanchez will do good but over all coleman is better or at least has the potential to be better and will become wales manager sometime in his career as manager.

Cookie did very well for his first 3 years but then everything went bad and stale...should have been removed 2 years ago....we only survived last year by pure luck....I am willing to give LS a chance...he appears to have brought in some decent players....but he needs to off-load all the rubbish (ie Christanval/Ellrich/Elliot) and the uncommitted (ie Quedrue/John)....priority this year.....STABILITY........DREAM...A TOP TEN FINISH

All depends on Fayed. It is well known that he has sunk more than £100 million into the club, which he owes elsewhere. If he comes under cash pressure, it could be another Leeds United scenario in the making. Seemingly Coleman moved on because he was not backed with cash. How long will Sanchez stay if he gets the same. He seems alright at the moment, but there is a long season ahead with many clubs at the same level who have been splashing similar cash. If Fulham are to rise, you have to identify which clubs are going to fall, and it is not obvious that sufficient are. There will still be a group there or thereabouts on the fringes of relegation and Fulham will be one of them. It might come down to a run of results, good or bad.

fayed is a maniac to appoint sanchez. what pedigree has he in top flight footall? he manged a fifth rate national side and then decided to take them all to fulham.

do fulham fans genuinely believe you'll not finish bottom?

Fulham have taken the saying spend to survive to the extreme this close season. But he is not panic buying at all. He has signed experienced players, most of which have played in the Premiership before. He has signed NI players because he knows them inside out and how to get the best out of them. Are you telling me that if Steve McDonkey became manager of a high profile club, he wouldn't try to sign the likes of Downing from Boro?

Every manager has his favorites. I've had to put up with it with George Burley becoming manager at Southampton.

Since he took over we have signed Idiakez, Rasiak, Skacel along with being linked to many other of his past players. Just put up with it.

The football might not be as pleasing on the eye, but I think Fulham will be a much tougher, direct and more resiliant team than they were last season.

Coleman has been treated like dirt, when did he ever get money to spend? Hope he turns into a brilliant manager and can stick two fingers up to Al Fayed.

Although I was very much a Colman fan, I am a Fulham Fan first and so I hope that Sanchez does us proud and takes us into a consistent top 10 finish in the seasons to come.
That said, I do not believe CC had the cash made available to him that Sanchez is now enjoying, and MaF is well known for giving cash up front, but then holding it back thereafter, which assisted in the demise of Fulham by letting the team go stale and forcing us to sell off the better players (Saha, Van De Sar, etc).
Sanchez has made a good start with his close-season signings, and I see a brighter future for us, I pray that he does have the stamina to stay in the top flight managerial post though, as this is miles away from his previous postings and his pedigree in running a national team, where the manager has the comfort to choose from a very large player pool, is nothing at all like running a league club that has limited resources of both players and cash.

I like Coleman too. He was given little money and little chance, but he kept Fulham in the top flight. What he needed was an older mentor to guide him, somebody like Bobby Robson, to improve his tactical skills. It was obvious that away from home Fulham floundered. Had their away record been average for the Premiership they would have been much more comfortably placed
