Where to now for Albers and Spyker?

Formula One
comment on the article

Where do you all see Christijan Albers going from here, now that his contract with Spyker has been cancelled?

news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/mot...

Has he done enough earn another chance in F1?
Personally I think he will disapear from the formula, probably to the sports car scene, or back to the DTM series.

Who will bring enough sponsorship to Spyker to get his old drive?

Cannot seriously believe comments suggesting Jacque Villeneuve. He only won the championship when he had by far the best car and then spent the rest of his F1 career carping about the eqiupment he was given.
There is such a crop of exciting talent out there, many of whom have been suggested and some who are already driving, the last thing we or Spyker need now is the negative attitude of "it's not my fault".

Until this season I'd been quite impressed with albers, until this season he'd always comfortably outperformed his teammates. However this season hes come up against a promising upcoming driver and been found lacking, just goes to show how tough it is at the sharp end of motorsport and how jokers like monteiro n co who albers whooped should never be allowed back near the sport again!

Re F1junkie. I think the French-Canadian legend had every right to complain about the dreadful equipment he was given. If that rotten German, M. Schumacher had been treated so appallingly, he would have left F1 in tears.

Yes, Jacques was outspoken. However, he always behaved like a true gentleman. And his talent and his demand for high standards would only benefit a hitherto rubbish team such as Spyker.

jacques villeneuve will not only not drive for spyker but you wont see him in an f1 car again! shame! he is far better than some drivers in there! eg.wurz, ralf!

I'm more concerned about Nick Heidfeld to my knowledge he is yet to sign a new BMW deal and his current deal runs out at the end of the year.

As to who going to replace Albers i think Klien will agree to join Spyker but i do feel sorry for villeneuve who at least has valuable experince to guide Sutil.

I agree that Klien is odds on and will join Spyker but i feel bad for Villenueve who least has the experience to guide Sutil

Dispite the fact Klien seems certain to get the job at Spyker i do feel sorry for Villeneuve who can least offer the experience of a world champion to Sutil who is still very young.
P.S.
Has Heidfeld sign a new BMW deal yet

It seems odd that people are linking Villeneuve with Spyker. Why would he want to come back to F1 to drive the slowest car? He's retired from the grand prix scene now and is looking to break into NASCAR or continue with Peugeot's sportscar programme. The ashes of the old Jordan team would hold no appeal for him.

albers was certainly good with minardi and was tipped at one point as being a future alonso.
where now for him? hopefully someone like super aguri might pick him up, but i can't see them ditching davidson and sato is guaranteed a place.
