Luis Garcia has signed for Atletico Madrid for 4 million on a 3 year deal.

I'd just like to say a big thankyou to 'Lil' Luis Garcia, scourge of the chavs. Thanks for the memories and good luck to you in Madrid mate!

I will miss Garcia. He was a good player. he gave us flair when we needed it. I hope he does well in spain.

I don't want Luis Garcia to win. A lot of people slag him off for his inconsistency, but in his three seasons at Liverpool, he was arguably our best and most consistent forward player. We missed his goals from midfield during the second half of this season.

He is however a very welcome addition to Atletico, my favourite Spanish club. In a way, its kind of been heartbreaking and yet a boon, the Fernando Torres story, for me. But Forlan and Luis Garcia will surely make up for his loss, and his gain is that of Liverpool. I hope he's at least as good for us as he was at Atletico.

All I can say to Luis is: "Muchas gracias. Estuviste estupendo", which is Spanish for "thanks a lot. You've been great". I wish him the best of luck in the future, whatever he decides to do oksmiley

Sad to see him go, but i hope this is a move that will open the door for other wingers that are on Rafas list.

Garcia with out doubt played more than an important part in the CL in 2005, however the nubmer of times he mislaid the ball and tried the flicks and tricks in the PL was frustrating. It would ahve been nice see him at Anfield with Torres, however i dont this it was meant to be.

Why o why is SWP at CFC!? - He should be on this list of rafas, but CFC would rather him sit on the bench... than go to a rival...
