I think Kimi will win again maybe from Pole..

I think Alonso will retire to the contry side as Hamilton is too good.

Nick in the BMW 2nd Lewis 3rd after a bad start

Massa 4th!!

Er Ferraridream

Dont want to fall out with you but

Kimi Raikkonen is NO Michael Schumacher.

Considering the great legacy M$ has left to Ferrari, the continuity by having Bridgestone tyres in 2007 and Massa driving (Mclaren had none of this new tyres and two new drivers).

Ferraris performances have been pathetic

Ferrari are set for a one-two this weekend. The last three races have hit them where it hurts and they're coming out fighting. Kimi appears to have bucked-up his ideas since taking a right whipping in the press and from Luca di Montezemolo. So watch out for a Kimi come-back as well.

There seems to be the 4 Newey cars around the 3rd team this weekend, at least on todays pace. If they keep it up tomorrow, they could really mess things around, creating a "energy drink" wall around in the middle of the top ten.

Not sure who's going to win, but what annoys me about the BBC website is the store they set by Friday practice times. They're not indicative of the real pecking order because all the teams are doing is just experimenting with various set ups. If they were indicative, you would expect Scott Speed to finish on the podium, which just isn't going to happen!

"I think your last two paragraphs are as much conjecture as mine."

Yer. That's why I wrote them doh.

Going by the developments of last few days, I think Kimi is set to erase his bad memories of the tussle with MS in 2002 French GP. Alonso's pace is not looking good enough to beat the Ferraris. I predict
1) Kimi
2) Massa
3) Lewis
DNF Alonso.

Impressive showing from Ferrari in practice today but I'm still not convinced: I need to see
them take pole tomorrow. Now they may indeed have found some answers in the last two weeks;
if so all credit to them; that would be quick
work and show that they're not in disarray.
However, teams have differing goals and motivations in practice sessions and I don't
know what McLaren's might have been today.
What I'd like to see tomorrow is BMW Sauber
vault into that second row (or beyond). I really
believe that this is the team right on the edge of success: well-run, minimal drama, and a car
powered by the BMW engine is a fast straight-line car. Maybe a future dynasty.

There's a lot of 'wishful thinking' comments on here and I sympathise with the need for Ferrari to win, but the reality is..
Its FRIDAY..
The teams are setting up the cars and we will not really know until Qualifying, or even in the first 'stint' of the Race, as to who has the best RACE pace..
Ferrari looked to be 'Back on the Pace' at Indy, if you look at Friday, but then we all know what happened in Q and the Race...
I very much doubt that Ferrari will match the pace of MM at Magny-Cours...
Hopefully, they will make a race of it though...

wait 4 the qualifying and then you'll be able to make reseanable guesses. If Hamilton gets pole then he'll win. If he doesn't then he'll come 2nd or 3rd
