He is, I hate to say, going to have lumps kicked out of him. He's got no strength to him whatsoever. Got pace and talent, but he won't be able to handle the pressure or physical nature of the SPL, and will bottle it. (Does the same thing for the US National team any time the pressure is on.)

Awesome, personally I can't wait to see him piss all over Parkhead

There's a reason they call him Run DMP

What does this mean for the likes of Nacho Novo and Chris Burke though. I can't help but think we're signing too many forward players when we could do with a couple of decent, composed centre backs.

If they have signed an American Peter Loverkrands then its no bad thing… we got some good performances out of Lovenkrands and had he not been constantly asked to play a wingers role when he was clearly more comfortable through the middle then we might have got even more out of him. Regarding all new players… lets just wait and see eh?

It's a false corrolary to say "no impact at bad team= bad player." The Stuart Pearce factor completely undermines that contention. I'm not sure why he didn't get more of a run in the first team; he looked as threatening as any player on the pitch for them when given the chance.

And regarding his exit from PSV- it wasn't a dip in form, but rather the emergence of Affelay and the other youngsters emerging during his absence due to injury. He never got a chance. Koeman simply viewed him as surplus to requirements.

I think he'll have a very positive impact for Rangers.

this guy is a half decent player like but im sure u shower said that about fanfan, jeffers, sebo etc
and who exactly is he gonna p*ss all over? you lot wanna get your heads straight, one signing isn't gonna change a thing, strachan has strengthened an already strong team, you lot have a long way to go. Good luck in second place, hibees and jambos fancy themselves this season.
