Floyd Mayweather Jr ready for Ricky Hatton.

Mayweather's adviser Leonard Ellerbe claims Hatton's jibes have paid off.

"We can make the deal this week. He's very, very disrespectful. He's trying to promote himself off Floyd's name.

"When we make the deal, we'll show the world why he's the most overrated fighter of this decade.

"He said he only wants to fight the best - then sign the contract. Floyd's going to show all his fans in Britain just what a phoney he is."

"Floyd has never taken any fight personally. But he's taking this personally. Floyd is going to kick his butt."

"He got Floyd's attention. Now we're calling his bluff," Ellerbe told the New York Daily News.

"All he has to do is make a deal and he'll have his chance to back up all that talk. All that's standing between him and Floyd is air and opportunity.

greatHayemaker.... Judah REALLY agitates me.... the guy has all the speed, skill, southpaw awkwardness and power to be a great... but silly antics and lack of heart and chin have seen the fall of Judah at the top level... i personally watched the Judah V Cotto fight and was wound up by it because the fighter showing all of the better attributes wouldn't push himself.... He stopped punching after the 5th and Cotto just wore him down but every time Judah did let a punch go he rocked Cotto badly but never followed it up

Oh darn my previous post got deleted.....

Judah is one of those annoying fighter with bags of talent, but too many negatives to boot. Unfortunatley i feel his career will see him turn from a once possible great to now a mere stepping stone for future fighters. Shame.

I think the only other person who can cuase PBF problems is Margarito, and that's one that PBF has been ducking for years.

no HAYEMAKER, my comment about Ricky being able to keep a high workrate for 12 rounds was aimed at 1MOSCOWFLYER's comment.

Looking at it from your perspective though, I agree that if Oscar at over 30 years old and Castillo could catch him, then I'm sure Ricky could. I just hope he wouldn't eat too many of PBF's shots straight down the middle and get stopped on cuts.

Sorry Hayemaker, I've got mixed up with who's writing to who, and thought you posted a comment directed at me. Apologies buddy.

I would love to see PBF vs Hatton even if it is at 147lbs. I think most others at that weight are simply to big for Ricky , which negates his main asset of being able to outmuscle his opponents. PBF, however is really no bigger than Ricky naturally (probably smaller) and does'nt stand and trade so much so we would have a classic bull and matador type fight

This fight would be great - and Floyd's camp have already started the trash talkin - that has to be a good thing! Mayweather has all the ability in the world but at times against de la Hoya - well he almost looked like a scared little boy - not that I would say that to his face! Hatton though is just so tough and a good boxer too - I think it would have to be either a KO win for Hatton in the first 6 rounds or a decision win for Mayweather - it would sure be a great fight though!

Just read Mayweather's insults volloyed to Hatton, Ive got to say the garbage that spews from his gob is as predictable his 'style' in the ring. This fight needs to happen, hell it pay £2k to fly to the USA if I had too.
