stifle yawn again .......its well in to the silly season now for agents trying to make a quick buck off the unsuspecting clubs . And this is a case in point . Does the agent seriously believe that anyone thinks this is anything other than pure cac ?
First point - Rangers would NEVER splash out £4.3m on a player as what was reported in the dross newspapers .
Second point - do we REALLY need another wide player anyway ??? Beasley looks like he will be signing from PSV this week and add him to Burke , Darcheville , and Sionko and its obvious we don't NEED a fifth !! Doh !
Third point - Bordeaux know absolutely nothing about any Rangers interest - officially or unoffocially .
Matter closed don't you think ?

Aham... sorry... "do we REALLY need another wide player anyway???"

Well, yeah, actually, we ruddy well do!!!!!! Sionko will leave this summer, Darcheville will never be played on the wing... which would leave us with Burke (inconsistent, although immense when on form) and Beasley (IF we actually sign him)... 2 is not enough by any means and with burke's unfortunate problems and beasley an unknown SPL quantity, then yes, a 3rd winger is required... unless, we all seem happy to play strikers such as novo or darheville on the wing who can't cross to save their lifes??? No, I didn't think so... now, I'm not saying that we should be splashing vast amounts of cash on faubert (anything under £6M would be a good price for him if we were to scrape it together, but more and he wont be worth it.... then I reckon we should turn our attentions to cheaper options, like Rommadahl or even Teale or other similar players (NOT MCCULOCH!!!!!!!!!).... all the while we need to get Beasley in the bag....

Anyway, those are just my thoughts but the point I am making is that we are in dire need of at least 2 designated wing players....

Darcheville is a striker, Sionko is on his way because he can't get a game, Burke had a TERRIBLE season and Beasley hasn't put pen to paper either yet so we have two wingers in the squad at the moment - with one looking certain to leave and the other extremely off form.

Totally agree. The press realise that there are no stories regarding Rangers, so they just make them up to sell papers. Day One: "Rangers sign Player X for 4 million" headline; Day Two: "Player X not for sale" headline. Trouble is most of us buy into this mince.

Sir David won't even spend a million on Naismith, so there's no chance of him pushing out the boat for true quality. The sad thing is, you tend not to win things on the cheap. Let's face it guys, we'll have to put up with Bosmans and inferior quality players until Murray sells up.

Yip this is just a ploy by the agent to get a better new deal for his client and we have just been named as one of the "interested" clubs. If we could afford to spend £5m on a player then we would have just signed scott brown- simple. We need a top striker another wide man and a centre half that will play the MAJORITY of the games next season but Murray and his lap dog bain seem to be quite happy for celtic 2 have another easy season, since when did rangers football club conduct themselves like that? Go now murray.

if rangers can spend 10 mil on faubert or watever then surely they can spend 2 mill on naismith unlike the stupid bid they hav put in for him already.

oh and as for the scottish league being 2 sided eh is the english league not 3 sided at the moment and was 2 sided for a few years until chelski got a new chairman with money.

dont matter anyway the spl is ok aswell as the premiership but best league in the world is the spanish one thats why most of the best players are going there now

Rangershave money to spend but won't be conned into paying over the odds, unlike certain other SPL clubs I could mention...

That is a ridiculous comment. It is now over twenty years since a team from outside Glasgow won the Scottish title. In England you do not have to go back beyond the nineties to count Liverpool, Arsenal, Leeds, Manchester United, Blackburn Rovers and Chelsea as champions. In fact you can add Everton to the list without going as far back as the Aberdeen triumph! The strength of the EPL is shown by having 3 of the 4 semi-finalists in the Champions League this year, and having had a team in the final every year since 2005 when Liverpool won it. The fluidity of the league is shown by looking at where Leeds and Blackburn are currently, and most starkly of all by the decline of Arsenal who seemed unchallengeable three years ago. And yet for all that they came close to lifting the Champions League last year. Dream on if you think England and Scotland are on a par in terms of quality or in terms of variety in title contendors. I'm not saying this to have a go at the Scots, I'm just standing up for facts as they are, and I do hope that in Euro 2008 qualifying you will stuff the Italians on your own patch and go on to qualify.

one) 'respect my authority' - the italians will beat scotland one - nil, because that is how they beat teams that aren't as good as them - the world champions.
two) rangers would be a bad move for faubert, whom of which big things are expected of, he should go to england.
three) celtic are better than gers, so long as celtic keep nakamura there will be a gulf in class - the gulf of a world class player.

Briscoe.... Jeese, your football knowlege is Shocking and clearly comes from the school of thought that thinks Beckham is a world class footballer, mind you, at least he has 2 good attributes in FK and crosses, Naka only has Freekicks and ain't nothing special at other key attributes generally liked in footballers....

Anyone ever share with you the fact that this is a team sport, and that unless you happen to have a Ronaldo, Kaka or Larson up yer sleave, 1 player rarely makes the difference when competing for a league tital.... Unfortunately for the Tic, Naka ain't one of those...
