We have the Prem league running scared..

Championship Sheffield United
comment on the article

...because we are not backing off and we are taking this as far as we can. In some people's eye's we should just accept the decision, some Blades fans and the Premier league included.

But we are not and that is causing some discomfort because what goes on behind the doors at the Premier league may start to become public knowledge, and I dont think they like that one bit.

Today's news about Kabba is simply a campaign to slur Sheffield United in their quest for justice. Nothing else!

That tell's me somebody somewhere is scared!

gracious guys, very gracious. well i'm gutted. i never expected us to win this and actually thought maybe it would be better for us not to because I was of the opinion that the football on the pitch should have decided things. i think its a weak decision by the panel despite them admitting utd were hard done by but I don't think they were ever going to decide against the league.

I'm sad that west ham weren't punished more for what they did but saying that the new board have acted extremely well in trying to make up for the mistakes of the old one and what can be stated for sure is that west ham fans can be proud of a great player in Tevez who saved them in a fairytale style.

what i want now is for a review of the premier league rules so this confusion never happens again. i was dissapointed with the original decision by the premier league and i'm dissapointed that their own rules are so inconsistant. that should change. but i do think it would've been wrong for this matter to have been decided in a court room and not on the pitch which is what the panel obviously feel as well.

we'll see you in the prem in a year hammers. smiley

Just like you guys were magnanimous in defeat.

Look I have nothing against the Blades but in this case you blew it and I think you should have had your minds on rebuilding rather than putting players and fans through this. Especially when McCabe was saying how you guys were going to be reinstated.

Sheff Utd are in danger of not making the play-offs now, you will lose many players now - pre-season set to start now! Where do ya go from here?

i agree McCabe acted a bit differently than is maybe proffessional in this case but i still think we were right in pursuing it. as did the panel.

and this has never been a 'we hate hammers' battle (not a quote of a post). I also really like tevez and love how he gave everything for the team. and hopefully there have never been any sheff utd fans posting petty remarks on your boards about how they hope you will go down because that would've been wrong. but i think it was right that we saw an injustice and inconsistancy in the decision and challenged it and would've expected West ham to do the same had the roles been reversed. i just want the rules to now be changed for the betterment (is that a word?) of the league.

and i think Pickles that now we'll have a drive and passion (i know the fans do) to get back up wheras if we had just gone down under normal circumstances we may have slumped the following season from the disapointment.

we'll only lose maybe two players. the signings we are being linked to are much better than any we made in the last two seasons too.

@ Billysharp
So,are the premier league still running scared? Or have you seen the light, given up trying to con your way back into the premiership and decided to concentrate on next season? With all that upheaval and refusal to accept you weren`t good enough for the prem over 38 games, you could well end up in a relegation scrap rather than promotion next season.

The panel that heard the appeal said that they would have deducted points from West Ham if they had dealt with the case in the first place and it does seem that P league are now running scared about the way they dealt with the case,it will be interesting to see if West Ham actually get paid anything when the player does move.
