England V West Indies day 3

Test cricket England

England V West Indies day 3
It's fair to say that England are on top at the moment as we got 4 wickets early and some of them were cheaply.
I think we will struggle to get out Bravo and Chanderpaul as they will block because thats what they are good at.
But when we do get one them out we should finish their innings quickly.
My prediction is that West Indies will get 220 if Bravo and Chanderpaul stay in.

All I can say is KP you idiot. But then, the more awesome they are at batting the harder they fall when they screw up. Having said that, all but Cook's wicket were handed over to the WI on a plate, with Hoggy and Vaughan flashing after things they shouldn't have, and KP...well... doing that.

Even Cook was unlucky, Collymore was all over the place before casting that one down the legside with Cook chasing after it with the edge of his bat.

Day 3 didn't go so well for us, but stay positive!

India will give England a real beating if they can't play any better than they've done against the Windies...

However that's not a foregone - England may be able to raise their game, so hopefully it will be a cracking series.

Summer! Hurrah!

You cant judge a player on one bad shot! ok it was a bad shot and hes done some before but lets be realistic saying that he isnt a great batsman and his only claim to fame is his ego is silly. Remeber he was ranked number one batsman in the world and that isnt easy to do now is it. Hes a brilliant player lets forgive him this time and stop being to pesamistic.

Agree that KP was being stupid. Theres no need to do something like that last ball of the day he never gives himself the chance to settle in. I agree also that he shouldnt have been sent in but i thought hoggard could have done a slightly better job as the night watchman. Anyway, we still love you KP - let him sparkle in the one day series. I can see chanderpaul being a failure in that one day series, hes an excellent player but scores his runs far too slowly and blocks too much.

Chanderpaul can score quickly, he has one of the fastest hundreds in history, and that was against australia. he has played in a weak team and has tempered his style accordingly.

What pissed me off was the commentary about the Vaughan and Hoggard wickets. Both were roughly the same but Hoggard is a number eleven so what do they expect but the criticism was very unfair. Neither Hussain nor Atherton had a go at Vaughan, our number 3. Pietersen's shot put Hoggard's to shame.

Whoever said that Chanderpaul can't play one day cricket is talking through their hat. He usually plays the situation, that is what makes him such a good player. He can score fast in one day cricket and he and Gayle have flayed attacks at a good rate as a team opening. He is a very good cricketer.

Hamilton wins in Indianapolis, England U21 thru to the semis, Beckham leaves Spain with a La Liga winners medal, our guys did OK at Oakmont ..

.. let us hope our lot at Riverside do not spoil things.

"The Ego" has again succumbed to excess testosterone, so it's up to 'the erks' - Bell, Collingwood et al - to show their 'officers' how it's done smiley
