Robbie Fowler

Scottish Premier Rangers

I think Robbie Fowler would be a fairly decent signing for us. He still knows how to bang 'em in, 32 is pretty old but I reckon you could get a few years out of him. If the paper speculation is accurate he's not interested in commanding a loopy salary (relatively speaking of course). For a free signing plus 15 - 20k a week who'd be better? I reackon he'd score 20 goals if he stays fit. Obviously not a 90 minutes man mind. Let the other side have a laugh, I think Fowler would prove them wrong come the end of the season. Your thoughts, if you please gentlemen.

I couldn't give a damn about the religion or nationality of LFC players or fans. Just be clear that Celtic is JUST ANOTHER CLUB like Man U or Everton who Liverpool have NO sympathy or affection for.

Just be clear that Celtic is JUST ANOTHER CLUB like Man U or Everton

and by the look of the majoirty of lpool fans who have posted on this thread Rangers smiley

if you have such close links with them prey tell why no annual pre season games?
when is the last time you have lpool for a testimonial seeing as you have such strong links?

I await these answers, as I said I don't follow lpool and could care less if they back celtic or not but I can't see how you class them as an "orange" club, most ger fans I talk see them selves linked with chelsea and linfield as part of "the blues brothers" trio

As I said before, testimonials are a meaningless exercise to raise the maximum amount of money for already overpaid ex-players. They organise these games with Celtic, play on the "great friendship" myth as they realise thousands of your gullible supporters will come down and waste their money. For the record, I believe Robbie and Walter Smith both organised testimonials against Rangers. Also, why not talk about all the Man U players who have organised testimonials involvimg Celtic? eg Ryan Giggs, Roy Keane. Other people can decide if Liverpool is an "orange" club. All I can say, as someone who has four generations of family from Liverpool, is that the club was founded by orangemen - John Houlding and John McKenna -and drew most of its support from the protestant Netherfield Road area of the city.

and judging by the response of lpool fans the answer is no smiley

go and post that on the lpool board and see how many people agree with you.

You don't seem to understand what orangeism is about. Come to Anfield or Ibrox some day and there'll be plenty of people happy to educate you!

I saw the pictures from holy cross school, of young kids having all sorts of abuse hurled at them.

I don't particularly wish to know any more about the orange order thanks very much, I can for myself it is an a delightful organisation that is more than willing
to embrace people o all religions and creeds although in syaing that as it's spiritual leader was a gay dutch man i can see why you are like that.

smileywinkeyewinkeye

still I not no posts on the lpool board to ask them if they consider themselves to be an "orange" club losing the courage of your convictions lads winkeye

I seemed to have touched a raw nerve here. It's obviously upsetting for some people to discover that Liverpool fans, like supporters of every other club I can think of, don't actually give a stuff about any other club but their own. Enjoy watching Celtic finish second to Rangers in the SPL next season.

Liverpool is not an orange club despite it being founded by protestants. The majority of liverpool fans are now catholic as you will find irish catholic families support liverpool and few support the crap side of stanley park, that is why we have strong links with celtic as well. So therefore an orange club requires prejudice against catholics like rangers and linfield whereas catholic sides dont tend to be so harsh on the players' religions so liverpool is not orange
