Premier League's fixtures released

Premiership Fixtures
comment on the article

Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce will make a swift return to Bolton on the opening day of the new Premier League season.

In other fixtures, champions Manchester United will open the defence of their crown at home to Reading.

Newly-promoted Birmingham will travel to FA Cup winners Chelsea, while the 2007 Championship winners Sunderland host Tottenham.

Derby's reward for winning the play-off final at Wembley is a home date with Portsmouth in their first top-flight match since 2002.

West Ham - who controversially beat the drop last season will kick-off the new campaign against Manchester City at Upton Park.

Premiership fixtures

Elsewhere, Arsenal host Fulham, Wigan travel to Everton, and Middlesbrough will be at home to Blackburn, while Champions League finalists Liverpool are away at Aston Villa - with both clubs now under American ownership.

prediction for end of season table:

1 chelsea
2 liverpool
3 Man city
4 Man utd
5 Arsenal

..............

Mate you really are a joker.

More chance of Liam and Noel playing up front for City than them finishing in the top 5, and above United, really? Actually when was the last time you managed that? Gotta be going on for 20-25 years now hasn't it?

Sorry m8 you got it wrong city will end mid table and united if not 1st worst they will finish is 3rd 9. In all the time the prem has been running Man United has either won it or come 2nd and only once came third (i will accept any corrections)

Clearly the Man City fan is unaware of the stranglehold that Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal have on the top 4 at the moment. I would also suggest that with so much upheaval at Newcastle atm that predicting where they're going to finish is a dangerous game. Man U's spending will guarantee them top three.
To be honest, City, it would be a good season if you stayed up with the pre-season you're having... dear oh dear...
Still, nice to see you've put Tottenham in a potential UEFA Cup spot!

........

We came 3rd behind Liverpool in 2002 and either Behind Chelsea in 2004 or Arsenal in 2005. I think it was 2004. Either way, top 3 for the past 16 seasons is pretty amazing.
