Beckham's Jet Lag

International football England
comment on the article

Just wondering what people are thinking about the media coverage regarding Beckham's place in the England squad/ team after he moves to L.A Galaxy. A lot of the media are going on about how jet lag would affect his performances etc but this does not seem to be a problem for South American or Asian players who play in the Premiership or European leagues, or if it is a problem they manage to work around the problem. Why would it be any different for Becks?

ONCE UPTON A TIME

THERE WAS A SUCCESS STARVED NATION, IT HAD WON NOTHING IN 41 YEARS, IT EVEN STRUGGLED TO BEAT ANDORA,MACEDONIA, THEN FEARING A REPEAT IN ESTONIA , THEY RECALLED THEIR COMMERCIAL ADVERT WHO IS NOW A PENSIONEER IN AMERICA

THEY WON THE ESTONIA MATCH AND ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE.
SOME FANS OF THE CONSTANTLY FAILING NATION THOT THEY WOULD WIN THE WORLD CUP OR THE EUROPEAN TOURNAMENT BECAUSE THE COMMERCIAL ADVERT WAS BACK

WE ENJOYED THE DRAMA FROM A DISTANCe

Manhuwa, You are a prize fool.
Who is breaking hell? The only person is you. You hate him because he is a world class pro, with a half decent looking wife & plenty of money. Its a shame.

Jzswindon:
I’m terribly sorry for touching a raw nerve there with my foolish comments. doh Anyway, Dad (I’m 53 so if you call me son, God knows what age that makes you!) I‘ll set off on the yellow brick road now in search of a brain, while you ride off on your high horse and go in search of a sense of humour. Happy trails. smiley
P.S. If you eventually find one (surprise me!), by all means come up with a devastating riposte, but this time at least try and make it funny and not patronising so we can both have a laugh together. laughlaughsmoochok

I've been wondering where a certain 'caps lock' Dwight is. Oh I think I've figured it out. He's busy gobbling loads of humble pie!!

Spot on. Beckham won't suffer from jet lag atall. the only question is whether his performances will falter due to playin in the states. we can only wait to find out but i think because becks is becks, he will work 500% to get up to his highest standards for the england cause.

Did you know this guy jzswindon has seen Pele (on whom he claims to be a world authority) play live ‘many times’ in the US and in Great Britain? Amazing – especially when you consider the fact that Pele retired from football 30 years ago and this jzs sounds like he couldn’t be any more than 13 years old (which doesn’t stop him calling me ‘son.’) Did you also know that he has worked as a professional stand-up comedian in the US? Very impressive (and funny!) Though, judging by the quality of the stuff he writes on this site, it must have been for children’s birthday parties (and he probably got laughed off the stage there rather than on it).

Looks like our friend jzswindon has disappeared without trace (don’t look at me!) as I was unable to call up his hilariously funny profile in which he said Britney Spears was his favourite football team (isn’t that priceless?). I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say his incomparable wit, humour and football knowledge will be sorely missed by all. Dare I say there still may be a glimmer of hope that he might return again one day to these pages under another name to entertain and instruct us once more? I hope not. winkeye
