the_playmaker (U8021062) posted Jun 6, 2007 Lampard played much more games than Gerrard (& most of the other players this season). Mourinho just didn't give him a rest in the last 3 years, Sooo it's normal that he doesn't have the same fresh legs as the other players @ this stage of the season.

Stevie Claridge's shin (U1752611) posted Jun 6, 2007 Just before we kick off I'll try and get this in. I've seen a few people say what do we know we are only the public we are not football managers. Well Glenn Hoddle, hate him or not he managed England same a McLaren, has just said Gerrard is deadly around the oppo's penalty area. He the went on to say that against Estonia Gerrard and Lampard could afford to swap sitting and going, but against Brazil they couldn't afford that luxury and one had to sit all the time being Gerrard. So if you break that down what former England and Chelsea boss Glenn Hoddle is saying is that against better teams you are comprimising one of your better players by forcing him away from the area of the pitch he is most dangerous and there for effecting you chances of beating them. I think that enough evidence that Lampard needs dropping.

Matt2011 (U8583528) posted Jun 6, 2007 I am an ardent Man Utd supporter and have been since i could walk......what can i say.......one player is chelsea and one is liverpool two of most real enemies but come on.....Lampard is a quality player and so is Gerrard....they are just different types of players.....the only way i can describe it is Gerrard is like Keane.....a never say die attitude and will run until he cant run anymore.....Lampard is a clever player like Scholes who reads the game well and can pick a pass from nowhere and occasionally smash in a goal like a thunderbolt....but at the end of the day they are both quality players......both can change a game at any stage.....come on give him a break and let him do his stuff.....im sure all this critisism is doing him the world of good !!! and all that from an ardent UTD supporter....there must be some truth in it !

DoctorBoroLove (U8303026) posted Jun 7, 2007 Reading the report in SkyNews I find Terry says this of Becks, "His Balls are fantastic." And Lampard added that they had, "to run and get on the end of them."

RobSJ65 (U6245638) posted Jun 7, 2007 Is Lamp's a good player I would say yes but, has macca got the balls to drop someone who is out of sorts in an England jersey probably not because he did that to another world class player 12 months ago and then had to eat humble pie. Bench him and use him as a sub in the later part of games and build his confidence and desire to be first choice again. A La Beckham

rooney rocks (U8192144) posted Jun 7, 2007 Carrick would play well with Gerrerd, he would allow him enough room to run up front, he also knows how to pass, yes Frank is a good player but i trully think he is burn out. Crouch would score more goals than current. Owen was good may be good, but currently Defoe would do wonders with Crouch, hope someone is listening allow Owen and Rooney to sit on the bench the next game. Lennon just need shapenning he is the next star for England. all the best hope England qualifies Comment on this article
