Kevin McCabe has today stated that he believes that Sheffield UTD are going to be re-instated to the premiership. He Stated Earlier on FiveLive

"I firmly believe we will win and the previous decision will be overturned," McCabe told BBC Five Live Sport.

An arbitration panel on 18 June will hear the Blades' claim against the Premier League's failure to dock West Ham points over the Carlos Tevez saga.

"The arbitration is critical to our reinstatement to the Premier League. If there are other legal recourses they may be looked into but we're all working hard towards 18 and 19 of June."

So all you Blades and Hammers Fans What do you think should Sheffield Utd deserve to be back in the prem or hammers did your form rightfully save you! let have a debate!hahahaha

West Ham knowingly flouted the rules and then lied to the FA. They should have been automatically relegated. That they weren't is a disgrace.

(I'm not a Blades fan)

"I cannot believe that, after all this time, the penny still hasn't dropped with Sheffield United, Wigan, Fulham, the media et al. Let me put it simply:

*The legality of Tevez' registration has NEVER been an issue."

Man, I wish you would read the PL's statement before opening your mouth.

West Ham were fined £3million for lying to the PL to secure the registration of Tevez and Mascherano.

Sheffield United should just look to rebuild and gain promotion again. I do think that the Hammers deserved a point deduction but it is too late now and the Premier League will not go back on their decision... the fact is Sheffield United played very poorly, especially in the last game against ten men Wigan, a game they should've won. They had their fate in their own hands and sadly for them, didn't take their chance.

Good luck for next season.

As a Charlton fan, do we not also have a case here? In Feb it looked like we were going to pull clear but our performances let us down and in the end that is why we went down.
Sheff Utd and in particular Kevin McCabe would have happily waved goodbye to Wigan on the last day of the season had they won.
The fact is the PL will not change their decision otherwise I can see the courts becoming very busy with other transfers called to question by the likes of Chelsea, Pomoy and Tottenham to name a few.
I blame the PL for not docking WHU at least 3 points with the 5,5m fine in the first place.

Where does this 3 points figure come from. The only club I can remember getting a 3 point deduction in the Premier League was Middlesborough. They got a harsh deduction because they asked for permission to call a game off, were refused, and didn't turn up.
If they had simply not turned up they would probably got off with 2 points and a fine. The figure of 3 points is unprecedented, and is only being touted because 2 points won't save Sheffield Utd. The punishment already fits the crime, if thats not enough to save Sheffield Utd, thats not relevant.

Where has the 3 points come from?

There are a number of teams that have been deducted 3 point, notably AFC Wimbledon, who had their deduction reduced from 18 points.

And they didn't even lie about their breach of the rules.

Sheffield United had it in their own hands to stay in the Premiership by beating Wigan on their own ground, a task most other teams in the Premiership acheived. Sometimes you to put a little bit extra in.

David Beckam has made a big difference to the England team since his recall, and credit to Steve McClaren for holding his hand up and realizing his mistake in leaving him out in the first place even though it was time for a new leader in John Terry.

Sheffield United had it in their own hands to stay in the premiership on the last day by winning. It was a sickener for them, also for me after West Hams brilliant performance in beating my team Man.Utd.It's hard sometimes.
