Wales Sadly Bow Out

International football Wales
comment on the article

Wales 0-0 draw with the czech's was not enough and they have now no chance of qualifing. It is sad to see as it is Ryan Giggs last game but a point stll is a respectful result for a battling welsch side.

Shame we couldn't win but we did play really well i thought, particularly Giggs and Koumas, and Hennessey did well on his full debut to keep a clean sheet.. I hope Ireland can qualify now!

As an Englishman, and Wolves fan I'm glad that Hennessey kept a clean sheet. At least it will give him more confidence going into next season, and we now have a good keeper that can challange Matt Murray for the #1 shirt!

Pity Ryan Wilson made the wrong choice of country after representing England as a schoolboy. Might have won something together by now.

oh my god... how many times? He represented england because he went to school there. He is 100% Welsh. He had as much chance of playing for Brazil or Argentina as he did England. He said he wouldn't want to play for a country that wasn't his, as his is Cymru!

Id like to say giggs has a great attitude, he never moans or complains, he just gets on with it and doesnt act like a boy like many of the other players do, throughout his entire career you never see him moaning on the back pages. Credit to a top player who not only reached his potential but is consistantly good, something few of the potential greats really manage.

A great performance from the lads ... I wonder what McClueless would give for his team of his 'world class Premiership superstars' to produce something even resembling that on Wednesday ... as for Giggsy, you are a legend and if you feel like another run around in the red shirt one day, the door is always open and you will always be welcome

It's easy to say get rid of Toshack but what else can he do he's coaching a group of average premierleague players, who think their a lot better than what they are, i.e Savage, Cotteril, and many others. Savage get real shut your mouth and keep out! Toshack is blooding youngsters now, who with these games versus very good teams will mature quickly and will become better players. Koumas, Nyantanga, Bale, Eastwood, Collins, Gabbidon, Hennesey, Bellamy, Earnshaw, Price, Duffy, all these players have great potential, and I feel that a push for world cup 2010 or Euro 2012 is not unrealistic, but I feel Toshack will not be there to reap the beifits of his hard work. When he took over he realised it was an ageing squad, he ripped it up and started again, we can only get better! As for Giggs without a doubt a legend, but for Wales, he never quite did it for us did he?
