McLaren escape sanctions

Formula One

McLaren are not going to be punished for events at the Monaco GP. The full story is here:

It seems the FIA are satisfied no rules were broken, despite McLaren admitting they had asked Lewis Hamilton not to challenge team-mate Fernando Alonso for victory.

What are your thoughts on this development?

I like the English media: Late Brazil goal denies England !! Brazil if they definitely wanted will have take the PI@%SS of England if the wanted!!! IT IS ALWAYS ABAOUT PETRIOTISM!!! The same with Fernando Alonso!!!

alwaysalonso : i think that the medias are patriotic in all the countries its normal and the same in spain i guess about alonso case there are people who like him others who dont but you have to confess that his attitude is not always fair play as his comentaries

to roomurrhamil : Thaks for your response, you are right in what you say but I believe in England the madia take the price for being over the top Sometimes.Look at how the english media have caused many people misery. Exemple: Prices Diana. She could not stand the media. As for Fernando's attitude is not always fair play as his commentaries, you most remember that when he won the first championship, he was 24, only a youngster and still today 25 so i supose some times he could be immature, but that does not take from him what he has archived and give him at less some credit.

yes alwaysfernando i tottaly agree with u nobody is perfect and ur right when u tell that alonso is young and can be immature sometimes i think that nobody deny alonso talent in england but in monaco gp mclaren tactic was clearly against hamilton and it was english media duty to reveal it i agree that sometimes its over the top and leads to tragic accidents as u mentioned but you can be sure that alonso has all the credit he deserves for all his wonderful performances in england but now we have hamilton and we suport him and hope that he will be allowed to challenge alonso fairly good luck to both of them

to roomurrhamil: I totally agree with you that McLaren tactic was obviously against Hamilton, But I do believe that if Hamilton had taken pole in Monaco McLarren will have had the same tactics towards Hamilton as Ron Dennis will no jeopardies a 1-2 as in Monaco is very difficult to overtake.I do support Hamilton to as he is a McLaren driver (I could not believe it when Fernando signed for McLaren as I always being a MaLaren fan!). I hope in the coming races that Ron Dennis allowed Hamilton to challenge Alonso as I believe it will be a hell of a race as I genuinely think at the moment, they are the 2 best drivers in F1! Thanks you being very understanding!

how can this possibly be right, when we have a society that entertains bookmaking.
if this happened in a football game,or,a horse race,or,any competative competition.......woweee......the powers that be would be up in arms...ie...corruption.fixed.bent.
surely, albeit, the ordinary punter would clearly be the loser.
i,d like to hear my friends comments on this.

Well did anyone think of the fact that Hamilton wasnt fast enough to overtake Alonso anyway?

Hamilton was quick enough to catch Alonso, but as the great Murrey Walker used to say, catching is the easy part, overtaking is quite another. (ESPECIALLY AT MONACO). It's virtually impossible to overtake there. Thatn is why most years who ever gets pole possition usually goe's on to win the race.
