How can Celtic take any positives from this result? With no real opposition in the Scottish Premeirship you managed to meet a poor team one nil. Do any of you Celtic fans ever think that actualy just a very mediocre team in a very bad league and cup. On the European scale your poor.

Pars have doen themselves proud.Only 1-0 against a side that has been in the CL(and were better than Milan).
Stephen Kenny has done a great job getting the Pars to the final and coming from 11 points adrift to being a whisker away from beating the drop.

Eh? What planet are you on ? It wasn't a poor game, it was a poor performance (again) from Celtic. And Lennon was one of the poorest on the field. GS Made the right decision taking him off. Fair play to the Pars though - they fought all the way and in the end it was only tiredness and experience that did for them. I hope they come straight back up again.

2 championships on the trot. Anyone who remembers the rangers nine in a row days would not be foolish enough to speak such drivel about Strachan.

The cup was won by changing the midfield. Lennon has been every cliche in the book for Celtic but the reality is he's 35, slower than ever and young guys are running by him easier then ever. Right time to go. And the further reality is CELTIC never wanted him next season. They gave him the dignity of announcing his exit first - it's the way it's done.

All this negative talk is brought to us by the Scottish gutter press media who infiltrate the small minds of their readers by printing subliminal negative stories about Celtic.

Today we should rejoice a league and cup double and tomorrow we will get back to reading about crisis after crisis at Celtic whilst at the same time reading of 'learning curves', 'rebuilding', 'no budget' and 'time to gel' garbage about Ibrox.
Enjoy the moment and will the real Celtic supporters please stand up.

And what 'Irish' team do you support IrishMagpie??
And I would also recommend learning to spell properly.
We BEAT a team not MEET a team.
Also if you had the intellect to listen to Strachans comments after the game he said that Celtic are a GOOD side with a GREAT squad. I can't think many Celtic Fans would disagree with this.
Those who watch the team every second week have NO Delusions of grandeur just zealous passion, unbridled belief and eternal hope.

typical BBC....Scottish Cup Final and i have to search specifically for it and even then freaking Yeovil Town take priority. The FA Cup was plastered all over the site days before and after it. I thought this was a British Broadcasting Corporation not just South East England Corporation. Get your act together.

Couldent agree more Strachan is just trying to emulate Alex Ferguson and was very selfish to bring Lennon off on his final apperance. It would have been fine if it was with 2 minutes to go to allow Lennon to get a send of from the Fans that he deserved.

Would the half of Ireland you come from be blue?

Celtic have just won the double and lost out to the winners of the Champions League. (note the word "Champions")

I'd say that's fairly positive biggrin

Because, unlike a lot of games this season, the result on the day DID matter. The game had to be won on the day, therefore he takes off a player who was struggling and we end up winning the cup.

The fact we won doesn't vindicate GS's decision then?

Pars and their supporters made it a great occasion, so unlucky not to win but you just wondered where their goal would come from.
Well done to Celtic but i got the feeling their fans were not to keen to celebrate to much by the speed they left hampden, spoiled with success perhaps.
