Regardless, I just can't see the Toon letting him go, can you? They've spent so much money on his various injuries and rehabilitation that I can't see them selling him for anything less than a ridiculous figure like £20m, and who'd pay that?

In my opinion no we shouldn't buy back owen. he hasnt yet proved his serious knee inury won't plague him in the future, It's to much of a gamble. if he has a good season at newcastle under Alladyce then yes but then i guess he would be worth more than the touted 9 million going about at present.. Im just worried his latest injury will have a dent in his future. will he ever be as good..?

No LFC should shy away from this mercenary.
I said over 12 months ago that Owen would go to Man UTD this summer. I still believe that he will. He won't stay at Newcastle and playing for England is his main aim.
It makes sense. Man U are short on strikers and don't have a recognised goal scorer. Owen lives in Chester, en-route to the M53 - which takes him straight to Old Trafford in 35 minutes. Watch this space!

I personally would love to sign Eto'o or Villa. And if that happens i will be delighted. But on the other hand the realist in me says that this is unlikely and therefore if we could sign owen, i'de take the gamble with his injuries, because if he does stay fit he is a potential one of the greatest goal threats in the world, look at his stats at Real Madrid. Therefore i don't see slagging him off will help us, i just want a good striker.

I would not be a good idea to buy Owen back. Yes he was born & breed at the Mersyside but we need a striker who is not an injury prone or match fit. Unless it's a free transfer...
Signing Eto will be great!! We need LFC to score more goals this season. LFC 4ever!! cool

I think personally that buying owen back would be a great help to the team. He has proved himself wherever he has gone and although at Newcastle he has been injured he has still scored goals when he has played for them. BRING HIM BACK!!!!!!!!!!!

"Owen, was never the same when he came back. neither was Robbie, who had class and a football brain, both of which Owen lacks. Berbatov would be ideal, but they won't get him. Carlos Tevez, David Villa or Torres perhaps. Alternatively, steal Johnson from across the Park."
we'd never be that desperate
