59 Club - What's your favourite course

comment on the article

On Saturday I shall attend Cartmel racecourse, thus completing attendance at all 59 racecourses (but I am not yet counting my chickens.......)

Who else has done this? I only know of 1 other chap, but there must be a fair few out there. How about these for a few of my favs/most hated. What do you think?

Fav:
1. Cheltenham
2. Perth/Hexham (can't decide!)
3. York

Least fav:

1. Southall (Sp? I hope never to go there again, but I did see the 1p sweet stand fall over, which was highly amusing!)
2. Ascot
3. Worcester

Totally without character:

1. Exeter
2. Lingfield
3. Taunton

Best on the raz:

1. Cheltenham
2. Chester
3. Kempton

Best looking ladies:

1. Beverley (no pun intended)
2. Goodwood
3. Cheltenham.

You can't beat the Curragh, especially if Kieren rides a treble. Na seriously it's by far my favourite course in Ireland.

Personally my favourite course is Sandown, facilities are ok and station close.

Good course for jumps or flat so ticks all the boxes for me.

Well I've only been to two!! Fakenham & Cheltenham, and obviously Cheltenham is the best! I do love little Fakenham though, as long as there isn't too many people there otherwise theres not much room.

I'd like to go to Huntingdon, whats its like there?

Huntingdon is a bit characterless, to be frank -but good transport to it. I am scarred, though, by driving from Manchester to it to have it called off with 30 minutes to go because of frost. Grrrrrr.
