BaggieTrousers u have reminded me how fun the championship is, wen id just moved to burnley they were top of the league and we played them and beat them 5-1, with a paulo wanchope hat trick. The premiership just doesnt provide matches like that between the top sides anymore, FA Cup final a shining example, match summary in a word: Yawn
I hope we get a manager like Keegan again, it suits the club, sod distin, sod defence, we should return to Keegan's moto; You Score 3, we'll score 5.
Anyone got any ideas of potential attack minded managers?

Disten was the sole problem ay City@s defence last season, he never played as though he wanted to be there, good luck to him but not missed, Portsmouth? what a laugh, same as James & Cole, Elephant's graveyard!!!! money but no life or sole, all will regret in time, tough City have had and lost better players in the past who thought they were better than they were, anyone remember Alec Hayley?

At least he can play with campbell at the back instead of crazy legs traore..

Don't blame it on the Biscan,
Don't blame it on the Hamann,
Don't blame it on the Finnan,
Blame it on Traore,
He just can't, He just can't, He just can't control his feet.

Chris Coleman in his first season made Fulham an exciting team to watch, and you could do a lot worse.

But looking at your squad, the excitng players seem to be non existent im afraid.

baggjn - Portsmouth a graveyard eh? And so what about Man City, the club which has been shamed by Michael Ball's, Ben Thatcher's and Joey Barton's antics this season.

The club which had a goal scoring record equal to only Watford, and not a particularly amazing defence.

Or Pompey, the team in the league who have the smallest stadium but the loudest fans, where as the fans of Man City this season booed Pedro Mendes for his temporary unconsciousness after Ben Thatcher's infamous elbow.

Portsmouth, whose top scorer has scored more than all of Man City's strikers put together and more. The team for which James has prospered and been linked again with England.

Distin needs a new challenge, as there is at the moment, no challenge at Man City. Pompey however, is a team challenging for Europe with a new stadium in the pipeline. I know which team Distin would rather be at.

I'm sorry, run that by me one more time.

I was right in front of that incident, and I didn't hear any booing.

14 clean sheets all season is a poor defence?

I have to say that I can't argue with this comment, and I say that as a City fan. I don't blame Distin for wanting a new challenge, and I wish him all the best. We got 5 good years of his career out of him, and even though we got no fee for him, if we had sold him last summer for a fee then there is a good chance that we would have gone down. After all, I would have to say that a player of the quality of Distin is worth more than 3 points to a team.

We've got problems at City, and it's not a particularly good time to be a City fan. Hopefully, all of that will change in the next few weeks with a take-over that is right for the club, a new manager and money in the kitty. Fingers crossed it isn't another false dawn however, a la Francis Lee.

I do have nothing against Man City but gibberingfool - The booing of Mendes was documented in the papers. Pearce came out and said those fans should be ashamed of themselves. And so did many fans.

I heard it on the telly, but could obviously here it better than you. Better get them ears tested!!!
