Here we go again!!! No sooner had Mervyn Benney been allocated the Chairmans Position at our Club, and hired a new Head Coach, Mr Bateson decides to sell the club to a new consortium!!

So that makes it these chairmen in the last 10months:

1. Mike Bateson
2. Chris Roberts
3. Keith Richardson
4. Mervyn Benney
5. Mike Bateson
6. Mervyn Benney
7. Chris Boyce's Consortium.

7 Different Leaders at a "Professional" Club.. More Like Amateur.

And rumour has it, that Leroy will be sacked, only a few days into his 2nd tenure, with Colin Lee being reinstated!!

(Apologies if I Missed any Chairmen out!)

Ohhhhh A Pre Warning Here. Instead of advertising for your club vs Torquay United, just offer this instead:

Its unfortunately turning us into a bit of a laughing stock at the moment."

A BIT?!?! I woke up in bed this morning, rolled over to read teletext, read this story, and I couldn't get out of bed for another 5 minutes. No, not because of it's my day off work and a free day of university, but because I'd never laughed so hard at a football related matter since the Chelsea kid-mascot doing "that face" to Stevey G.... CLASSIC!!!

Hopefully it will still be Leroy under Colin Lee thats the only thing that makes any sense...but then this is Torquay....

I just wanted to say that the current record is in fact Bill Lambton who managed Scunthorpe United for 3 days.

Late 50's I do believe.

ecfcsteedy - I guess you're in luck then after yesterday's failed attempt to win promotion!! Don't worry, we look forward to hosting you. The joke times are coming to an end now that Bateson has finally agreed to clear off once and for all.

Must say it was silly of Bateson appointing a manager knowing he was not going to be running the club next season. The good news is finally the club is sold and hopefully Colin Lee wil be involved as I do believe he has the best interests of Torquay at heart any anyone that was there at the final game could see that.Give the new consortium a chance and support the team in numbers next season and watch The Gulls fly again. Two games against Exeter to look forward to next season as well.

its about time we had younger chairmen who had ambition and not just willing to see the club whittled away to nothing next thing is to bring back atkins or lee then the only way is up
