Well Done Chelsea

FA Cup Chelsea
comment on the article

United never looked liked scoring, Ronaldo was a non event and the rest average. Without the injuries Chelsea suffered during the season we would have won the lot.

The problem with Liverpool is after a couple of months they write off any title challenge and concentrate on cup games.

This season they were sent crashing out of the domestic cups early and just like AC Milan only played for the champions league.

If Chelsea and Utd only concentrated on the champions league this season I would have no doubt that this would have been the final.

If Liverpool fail to challenge next season in the premiership now that they have money to spend as well, Rafa Benetiz would have to be considered a failure.

In my view, many fans do not entirely understand the game of football and base opinion on how they want or wanted things to happen.Chelsea are an intelligent defensive minded football team, with equally intelligent quality players who believe in clean sheets and counter attack.Man United are an attacking team who endeavour to score more goals than their oppponents. WHY OH WHY are so many of you surprsied at the way the game turned out.No one is going to get a hatful against Chelsea and it's always likely they will score, usually just one, which in most cases is enough.I heard fans who support Manchester United before the match talking about United winning by three or four goals, they are dummies and need to get their heads around the finer points of the game and how top class managers think and prepare their teams.Fergie knew he had to break Chelsea down first as coming from behind was going to be a mountain to climb for United.I recall the great Brian Clough saying how "clean sheets" was the ccrnerstone of a modern successful side and I guess it still is.

No offence to ManU and their fans but the way this season ended it feels like Chelsea are champions! I totally agree that Manchester played fantastic football and they deserved to win the league but its just the way this season ended. Its a weird atmosphere. I am not a chelsea supporter and I didnt want chelsea to win anyway but when u look around, its seems like Chelsea fans are happier than ManU. Its just weird. When ManU lifted crown their fans werent very happy because they lost against Westham that day and yesterday in final its Chelsea whoz having a last laugh. A very strange season in my opinion.

Well done to Chelsea but what an abysmal performance from both sides. Where was Ronaldo or Rooney? I feel sorry for those supporters that went all that way to see such a monotonous match by two FA cup finalists!

It seems strange to me why people ask "why you expect a good game"
Try this ,premier league is touted as the best and strongest league in the world,we have the two top teams, theres the so called best player in the world, theres wonder boy rooney, and theres last years champions, englands captain, and several world class international players, and we should,nt expect a good game??
And i,ve just seen someone to match mourino in complaining,(Queiroz)what game was he watching?if he was pleased with how his team played, then maybe we should,nt expect much, and whining about refferees.have,nt we heard that one before, where does this leave us next season?Another season of average maybe.

England played open, expansive football against Jamaica before the world cup, but its another matter entirely against tougher opposition as both teams found yesterday. Rooney was terrific but it was Chelsea who provided the best display of fancy dribbling (via Robben) and the best bit of flair overall (with the goalmouth one two and deft finish from Drogba). I agree with the person who says Chelsea's fans are happier. If the Premiership had playoffs, Chelsea just won it.

How do you mean, Chelsea fans are happier. Are you stating the obvious about the outcome of the FA Cup final or just talking rubbish about the whole season (Man Utd fans are happier fans than chelsea about this season- believe me.

i kind of agree with 'Chelsea Logic' but i only think that when robben is injury free, he is about as good as ronaldo. Ronaldo is more consistent, but can't perform against the big teams. I think their biggest difference is their headers. Ronaldo = good in the air. Not Robben.

As for the cup final, no way was there a clear penner for man utd. Sour grapes. Just be happy with the prem while you have it.

You won't this time next year.

UP THE BLUES!!!

Llllloyd ,how are you my love;hope you get well soon from the stutter. So you buy back the title next year.So what? The Arrogant Graceless One's brand of attritional humdrum lump-it-to-Drogs football sure won't entertain anyone.Even if The Oligargh landed in a Russian jail or died of Polonium 210 poisoning tommorrow, your club, sorry global brand, has reached such a critical mass of unequal wealth, that any season in the sterile future that you don't win The Quadruple will be a surprise. How exciting. The sooner The Big Four go off to the inevitable closed-shop European Super League and allow the rest of us to enjoy some semblance of competition again, the better.

P.S.LLLLlloyddy boy, just viewed your 606 profile, why don't you try supporting just one, your local, team?Plymouth Argyle have fervent, admired and respected fans with very few johnny-come-lately armchair, bandwaggoning glory-hunters.Plus their humble,honest,diminutive,ever-amusing eccentric balding Bristolian Boss makes a very pleasing contrast to JM.<OK> GREEN ARMY!!
