Calzaghe vs Taylor

"Joe's a great, great fighter, but he's never left his home turf and he's never beaten a great, great fighter." (Taylor Camp)

Have they not heard of Chris Eubank???
They also discredit Jeff Lacy in other comments... funny that as the Americans were building him up as the next big thing until he got a hammering.

I think that Joe can outbox Taylor and should win on points- the more explosive fight would be a unification fight with Kessler- now that would be a spectacle!

I don't agree Enzo is what you make him out to be.

David Haye would expose him.

Outbox, overpower and steam him.

telling ya if this fight comes off then taylor will feel like mr magoo, he will be in such a daze not knowing where or when the next flurry will be comming from, joe has the fastest hands i have ever seen fast accurate punches to the body and to the head.. sorry but taylor will be totally overawed and dont forget b-hop ducked joe.. smart man.. hope ur having fun in your bubble.

Just heard that Calzaghe will NOT be at the Taylor v Spinks fight after all. I guess that means a Taylor v Calzaghe fight is not going to happen after all

I'd like to see a unification fight with Kessler - even though he nowhere near Joe's class. Sven Ottke wouldn't go near Joe and he was better then than Kessler is now. And JC is better than ever. After watching the Taylor / Spinks fight this morning, JC has little to fear. JC has doen nothing since he won the rematch with B-Hop

Joe Calzaghe,Frank Bruno,Prince Naseem the list is long. British fighters, talked up by the press and promoters. They get fed chickens upon chickens until one day, they have to face a real world class fighters. In Bruno's case Bonecrusher Smith, Prince Naseem fought Antonio Barrera and Calzaghe, hopefully Bernhard Hopkins, and most important, away from home!!
The next one in the making is Amir Khan. What a farce, what a gimmick. It's almost criminell how they con the public. One day,he has to fight a world class fighter, probably from Mexico or some other Latin American country, and then????? ( ask the Prince Naseem!!!!)

Joe calzaghe is a good fighter not great yet but if he beats the likes of kessler taylor wright and hopkins he would be classed as the greatest british boxer and will be up their with the legends. but time is against him and he needs those big fights yes he did beat eubank but he was past his best and lacy but i had never herd of lacy untill he was going to fight calzaghe. plus it a shame he hasent fought outside britain yet even hatton has done that. im not saying calzaghe is bad he is a fantastic fighter.i think calzaghe will beat taylor. but the fight with kessler will definatly be more entertaining. also i would of loved to have seen benn vs calzaghe

Why is it that British fighters are as bad as their worst defeat, whereas fighters from other countries are as good as their best victory?

Because Barrera beat (but couldn't stop) a washed-up, disinterested, unfit Naz doesn't suddenly make Naz rubbish.
