Did Scott Brown make the right move?

Scottish Premier Celtic
comment on the article

What does everyone think about Scott Brown's move to Celtic? I suppose Celtic fans will be delighted since he's obviously a fantastic young player with the potential to become even better, and also it must be sweet to snatch him from under the noses of Rangers? Do you all think he'll be a roaring success at Parkhead? But Hibs fans must be gutted to lose their most important player (he was head-and-shoulders above everyone else in the Scottish Cup semi-final against Dunfermline)? Or maybe they're just getting used to their best players being plundered by the Old Firm? Also, would Brown have shown more ambition by moving to the Premiership instead?

I think Brown has made the wise move and I am very pleased celtic got him. The fee is not too high and this kid will push on to become a top top player.

I live in london and watch plemty Prem football. Its good however not the best in Europe like we are led to believe. Outside the top 4 I would take Celtic over anyone. Why should Brown go and play for a mid table English side when he can go to Celtic and play Champions League football and play in front of huge crowds? To me its a no brainer. His 21 years old and has no reason to leave for average English sides.

The same English that criticise are the same people that said Larsson was wasted in Scotland and took the easy way out etc etc. He then goes to Spain and a brief spell in England and suddenly Henrik became a top player. Henrik was always top class and the educated knew this regardless of what league he played in.

"What a waste of talent and what a total lack of ambition!

The best Scottish footballer for years gets the chance to play with some of the best players in the world EVERY week and he decides to sign for Celtic."

yawwwwnnnn...same crap was written about henrik larsson....

henrik madethe right choice, broon is making his...

he may yet go to the prem as he is only young...but all this nonsense about paying that amount of money for an unproven player is nonsense...5 million for walcott anyone?

he has sed he wants to stay in scotland for non football reasons.so thers your reason.also he is clever enough to know he will play in england one day if he wants to.maybe one of the bigger epl clubs will come in when they se him in the CL.also he will win medals at celtic that he wouldt get at spurs or middlesborough.

Scott Brown is an excellent player and will be missed at Hibs. It disappoints me that for once one of our best players (who inevitably leave) hasn't taken the road south. It re-enforces the SPL as a two-tier competition which is why is gets rightly criticised.

"Probably the biggest indication of how scottish football isnt as good as the premiership is when barry fergerson moved to blackburn and was totally out of his depth and limped off back to rangers....says it all really" quote by pinnicleoffruit

first of all im gonna back ferguson even though im a celtic fan.

ferguson got blackburns player of the season that year voted by the fans, must be crap

hughes said he wanted to build his team around him, how crap is this guy

ferguson got 7 man of the match awards in the season only couple got more ie thierry henry but only someone crap couldnt get more than him.

he got a huge injury in the cruciate ligaments and just came back from that.

he wanted to move back because he missed the celtic rangers games and couldnt motivate himself for the blackburns derbys

now to lenny, you said he was in a yoyo team and then come to a team in scotland and dominated.

leicster come 8th while lennon and mon was there, yoyo relagation got that one bang on.

pinnicleoffruit, that was the worst post of the year.

All this crap about life long fans, hibs should have done all they could to sell him down south and not to their opposition, how will we ever get a comeptitive league if the oldfirm jjust nick the best from the rest of the spl. When they do win trophies they are devalued compared to say the pars if they were to win the cup next saturday.

Hibs should not be selling their best players to the oppositon, what have they become a cheap supply chain to celtic and rangers.
How can they expect fans to spend a lot of money watching them when all they do is destablise any time they have a decent team in sight to challenge the old firm.
