Bolton 2-2 Aston Villa

Premiership Bolton Wanderers
comment on the article

Luke Moore scored a brilliant late volleyed equaliser for Aston Villa - but the draw proved to be enough to seal a Uefa Cup spot for Bolton.

With Reading and Portsmouth failing to win, Bolton finish seventh in the table to claim the final Uefa Cup spot.

Former boss Sam Allardyce watched from the stands as Gary Speed put Bolton ahead from eight yards.

Craig Gardner equalised with a volley after a long ball forward before Kevin Davies struck with a left-foot shot.

But Villa were not to be denied and Moore's hooked strike was worthy of any occasion.

Hope we win and not sure that Lee is up to the challange, don't know if I should renew my season ticket and want Gartside to tell the truth re Big Sam's exit. If it's money again then we will not have a hope next season and players will be going to better places LEAGUE DIV 1 HERE WE COME???????

I'm not sure boys, Villa are a much better team than us now´. I wouldn't be surprised if we get played off the park. Feels like I'm the only one being realistic around here.

Sorry i like Bolton but have to say you have been one of the worst teams i have seen at Villa park this season along with Wigan(by far the worst). Ok you beat us due to a very dodgy pen but i believe you will do well to get a draw against us today. Choosing the scouse dwarf as your new manager i believe is a big error and if i was i Bolton fan i would be worried that he is in the press asking for Big Sam to come to give the players a lift surley that is now his job and why should players need a lift to get into Europe. Still hope if you do beat us you do well in Europe but feel you may struggle next season compared to recent seasons
