Beo's 1000 Guineas Triple Crown???

comment on the article

Finsceal Beo is heading for France this weekend to try and add the French 1000 Guineas to the English version she won so readily last week then a break of two weeks before she aims to complete the clean sweep and win the Irish 1000 Guineas.

I think she can satisfy this excellent and challenging triple to prove she will be one of the best miling fillies ever. She did not have a hard race on Sunday and would not be hindered by tiredness for this weekend!

Do you think she can achieve it?

Mighty_Brave, I don't think you can really compare the two as Teofilo has always shaped as a middle distance, 1m1/2, horse whereas I think FB is a typical miler. The only person who can compare them is the trainer and he seems to prefer the colt, mind you he owns the colt so he might be biased. Bolger himself always fancied FB more for her race (before Teofilo's injury) as he felt the opposition was far inferior than those Teofilo would have faced in the 2000.

I look forward to the French guineas this weekend and I am backing Bolger to record a double, FB in the 1000 and Creachadoir in the 2000. This horse has looked good in his two wins this season and has genuine excuses (soft ground and stamina limitations) for his defeats.

I really cant believe the hype surrounding this filly, the way people are going on about her youd think she was the second coming. She may have been impressive on a couple of occassions but her 2yo form had more holes in it than a piece of swiss cheese, she beat nothing of note in the Rockfel last October and she beat fillies of even less note in the Boussac. She won the 1000 in nice style but apart from the second i really dont rate anything else (Simply Perfect will improve over further).I have her rated as just above an average 1000 winner and i wont have her mentioned in the same breath as Miesque,Russian Rhythm or Midway Lady.If she completes the so called 1000 Triple Crown then fair play to her as you can only beat whats put in front of you but to me that would only highlight the weakness in the filly miler division. The proof will come when she takes on the boys or any older fillies(if there is any).

I'm with you racingnut!
Though she looked mightily impressive, I don't think she beat much.
Certainly to early to mention her in the same breath as the brilliant fillies you mention. Russian Rhythms 1000 Guineas was the best I have seen in my lifetime. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd( Six Perfections and Soviet Song ) all went on to beat the colts in open age/sex group 1s.
This is the true measure of a Champion filly!!

Thank goodness somebody else has been seeing what ive been seeing! Think a lot of the talk on here about FB is money talk.On bare bones, black and white form in the book she has a long way to go before she is rated very good, never mind great.Great fillies of the last 30 years can probably be counted on the fingers of one and a half hands,in the list of all time 1000 winners she really wouldnt get a look in.

you are right, all this talk is way pre-mature. hopefully by the end of the season she will go down as a great though, racing needs more stars!

'racing needs more stars!'

Yes because there haven't been enough in the past 5 years....

Deep Impact, George Washington, Hawk Wing, High Chaparral, Galileo, Dalakhani, Russian Rhythm, Azamour, Doyen....

I'm not even trying to think of more - I could come up with 30 top names easily. Invasor, Vengeance of Rain....
