Browse: Horse racing Godolphinby Baracouda (U4690122) 06 May 2007 I've not posted on here since the changes have been made but would just like the boards opinions on the shambles that have become the godolphin team 300 horses and they cannot find a horse worthy enough to put in a respectable show in either of the first two classics. It is embarrasing that with all the bred in the purple horses this comical lot have got they are performing the way they are,I know they have just landed in the country but even their performances at home were pityfull. tregoning (U839529) posted May 8, 2007 The Godolphin operation is a fascinating one. From early day success to the last few less fruitful years it has always been a bit of an enigma. By setting up an Academy they were always setting themselves up for a fall and is there any proof sending horses to Dubai for the winter aids them at all. Horses from Ireland have arguably not had any disadvantage by being in a rainswept cool country while the Sheikhs horses are getting suntans.

BokketilIdie (U8302019) posted May 8, 2007 I agree with Tregoning the team is far too large and probably has moved away slightly from what it was first intended to do. As to using Coolmore stallions, I personally think that they too have a lot to answer for. Far too many stallions bred to much the same line i.e Northern Dancer covering mares with the same bloodlines!!

U8024478 (U8024478) posted May 8, 2007 Godolphin still has Measured Tempo for The Oaks. Measured Tempo was an impressive 20-runner winner in her debut a maiden at Newmarket. She is a fancied mile and quarter to half prospect. This Godolphin horse has been groomed win The Oaks and her trainer wants a good showing in The British Classics after a few years of poor preformances.

oioichopchop (U3910293) posted May 14, 2007 haha Godolphin make me laugh. everything they have seems to be sired by Green Desert. If they started using coolmore stallions they'd actually breed some decent horses. They've got to sort things out. I used to like Godolphin but now they are just a laughing stock.
