From a Hearts supporter, well done! I keep an eye on City. I have family who live near Bristol and have been to Ashton Gate a couple of times.

Of Course, you've got a couple of ex jambos, McAllister & Johnson.

Just a pity you never got Pospisil, too. He no good.

Enjoy the Championship!

I first remember seeing City in 1959 as an 8 year old, and certainly I used to go to games as a 10 and 11 year old on my own on the 'old' city specials from Shirehampton (those were the days), anyhoo what am I saying,
I AM CITY TILL I DIE
I now live in Manchester so don't see too many games, but did get to the away game at Bradford City, where I also lived for nearly 10 years, and although we lost 2-1 I could sense that we have a good footballing side I was convinced that both City's could go up - sorry Bradford went tother way!
Good luck next year to the Reds. Good buy would be Andy Cole, we need an experienced classy player ?
Cheers my dears biggrin

It has been a superb season, although I don't feel that this is the best side we've had on ability alone - but since our last promotion this side has had by far the most passion and desire and been the fittest in this stint in league 1. Time to build for a brighter future.

Absaloutely fantastic weekend all round for city fans.As soon as i woke up on saturday morning, I knew it was the day. Cracking pre-match atmosphere just rolled straight through the gate and it was that good it just gave us a goal headstart as rotherham couldnt really live with such a cauldron start first 10.But fair play to the millers they battled well, and i hope they do well for next season and get back up to league 1. Cracking night saturday and a parade yesterday which filled me with such pride as a die hard bristolian. Seeing the whole city come together, and in a way, it was good to see rovers do well as we all had something to celebrate, and we can watch them sweat now. That night at Memorial now well and truly forgotten, this weekend will always be remembered and lets now embrace the promised land!

Well done City. I must say though that if the league had gone on for any longer we would have pipped you to second place! All the same, good luck!

I retract my previous slurs, not really the place to do it when you're celebrating promotion. Well done to all at BCFC.

I think Bristol City will come straight back down next season.

Well, even if they do, their fans are entitled to look forward to a Championship season against new opposition.

I live in Germany now but used to go to Ashton Gate in the days of the 1st divison (as a little kid) and during the late 80's and early 90's and I'm just so glad that they've made it again and this time without the agony of the Play Offs, which they've would surely have lost.

Well done city, it was a late start but what a run, consolidate the squad cos the Championship ain't gonna be easy.

The amazing thing was that so many of the top sides in the division at the end of the season had a bad start.

After 4 games, Blackpool were 18th, Oldham 19th, Bristol City 20th and Scunthorpe 22nd and they would have all been one place lower if Rotherham hadn't had 10 points deducted.

Well done City Boys!!!! was so dissapointed that i was unable to make it to Ashton Gate for the final match of the season, it is one of the great tragedies about living 150 miles away. Cant wait for us to tka eon som of the big boys in the cmahpionship next season, ive got a feeling that we should do better than 1998/99 this time so long as we keep the passion that won us promotion. Cant wait for the start of next season! C'mom the Robbins!!!
